The Arrangement Between Two Completely Different People

Chapter One

Alexander sat at his desk, filling out the paperwork for the new building he is going to establish in Chicago. The phone went off and he picked it up, “Mr. Hamilton, your six o’clock has arrived.”

“Bring them in.” He stated and he cleared his desk of the paperwork; buttoning his suit and leaning forward in his chair.

A moderately young couple walked in and sat in the two seats that were in front of his desk, they settled their selves in and looked up at Alexander, “About this arrangement you want to give us…is there still a chance that our daughter will still be able to see us?”

“That is, if she still wants to see you.”

“Mr. Hamilton, we love how generous you are, but I’m sure that our daughter would love to be able to see her parents when she can.” The man said, trying to hide his resentment to the whole situation.

The woman slapped her husband on the arm and smiled at Alexander, “Mr. Hamilton, I’m sorry for my husband’s behavior. If it wasn’t for him then we wouldn’t be in this little ordeal and we appreciate your generosity. What are the papers that you want us to sign?”

Alexander took out the papers and put two pens by the sheet, “Sign this…and I am very happy to help you and your husband out Mrs. Harwich, and like I said, everything is in the best interest of your daughter.” The couple stood up and shook hands with Alexander, saying their thanks and leaving his office.

Alexander smiled and leaned back in his chair, he finally wasn’t going to have another one of those one night stands where the women didn’t matter. He was actually going to have a real relationship with a woman he won’t be afraid to fall in love with, even if she is a few years younger than him.

His secretary walked into the room and laid another pile of papers onto his desk, “I’m sorry but these have to be done by tonight…a board meeting is going to be held tomorrow at eight in the morning and then there is another meeting concerning the new project in Chicago at ten.”

Alexander looked at the papers on his desk, “Wait, Christina, would you make sure that there is a new wardrobe of clothes for a size four at my house. Make sure they are all appropriate dress clothes too, and a couple of nice cocktail dresses.” Alexander put on his glasses and started to rummage through the files.

Christina gave him a strange look, “I’ll make sure they are of best quality Mr. Hamilton.” She bowed and walked out the door, what was this new thing…maybe he was talking about her? Christina smiled and daydreamed of walking in the park holding hands with Mr. Hamilton; she sighed and sat down in her desk. Maybe this was for her?

Mary looked at the new poster she had just put on her wall and kissed it, “You’ll be my future husband Hideto Takarai.” She smiled and jumped on her bed as he parents eyed her sadly.

“Mary…” Her mother said sitting on the edge of her bed, “There’s something that your father and I have to tell you.”

Mary sat down and looked at her mother, “What is it mom?” She smiled and looked up at her dad, “Is it a new car?” She squealed excitedly.

“Not exactly…we need you to pack, because you’ll be going on a trip to Chicago…” Mary’s mother said wearily, “Pack all of the things you can pack in your suitcases and bags…you’ll be there for good.”

Mary laughed, “What are you talking about? Who am I going to live with in Chicago?”

“You’ll be living with one of our friends, as a deal to our situation for a while, you’ll be helping him out around the house because he helped pay off our debt that your father built up over the years.” Her mother put her hand on her daughter’s back but Mary shrugged it off and glared up at her father and mother.

“How could you do this to me? All of my friends are here and you’re just asking me to up and leave the next day?” Mary stood up and yelled at the both of them, “I refuse to do anything that you two ask me to do anymore, I hate you guys! Get out of my room!”

“Mary…” Her mother cried, “Please just do this for us…”

“Get out of my room!” Mary shrieked, pushing her mother and father out of the door and locking it. Mary cried and stomped around the room, “How could they do this to me?” She looked up at the clock and it read six o’ clock, she grabbed her puma track bag and back pack, filling it with a bunch of her clothes and stuffing her laptop in her backpack. In a matter of minutes she packed most of her belongings in those bags and grabbed three thousand dollars she had saved up in her sock drawer.

She put on her backpack and threw the track bag out of her first story window and smiled because she was glad she had chosen the room that was easiest to sneak out of. She made sure that she blasted her stereo before she left so that her parents would believe she was still in her room burning all of her anger out.

She hopped out of her window and grabbed her track bag; she took out her cell phone and called her friend but suddenly stopped when she saw this blonde haired man standing outside of her window, “Mary? What’s up?” The voice on the phone said, “Do you need something?”

“No, I’ll call you right back…” She mumbled, hanging up the phone. “Who are you?”

“It doesn’t matter who I am, you’ll find out soon enough…how about you go back into your house and sit down and have a talk with your mother?”

“I don’t want to talk to them, they are horrible parents and I hate them.” Mary spat; walking away from the beautiful blonde haired, green eyed man.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the front door, “You have to talk to your parents because I promised I wouldn’t take you until they told you the truth.” Mary tried to pull away but he knocked on the front door and Mary glared at him angrily. She still tried to pull away from him but the front door opened, “Your daughter tried to escape, so I suggest that you tell her the truth now so she can properly pack her things.”

Her mother nodded and told them to come inside, Mary sat down on the couch and looked away from them, “Honey…this is Mr. Hamilton, he’s agreed to make you his wife…”

Mary turned around with an opened mouth, “He’s what? You what? I’m not!” Mary screeched, she dropped her backpack and sprinted out the door. She didn’t need any of her things she just needed to get out of the town, she didn’t need to get married, and she didn’t need anyone.

Mary continued to sprint down the block but she felt arms wrap around her waist and she struggled to get free, “Mary, Mary…what’s wrong?” She looked up at her best friend, Arron, with tear filled eyes, “Mary, why are you crying?”

She turned around and hugged her friend, sobbing furiously and grabbing onto his shirt, “They want me to marry this man!” She sobbed, dropping to the ground, “I’m only sixteen! I don’t…I don’t want to marry!”

Arron’s eyes almost fell out of his skull, he hugged Mary tightly, “You can’t leave me…you’re the only friend I’ve really made!”

Mary laughed, “Is that all you care about?” She wiped away her tears, “I don’t know what I’m going to do…”

Arron rubbed her back, “It’ll be okay, you can hide at my house for a while and no one would ever know!”

Mary smiled and then heard someone cough from behind Arron, “Am I interrupting something?”

Mary looked up at the man and sighed, “That’s the guy I’m supposed to marry…” Arron helped her up and she didn’t bother to look at the man, “Sucks I know.”

Arron shook hands with the man, “I’m Arron Lee, Mary’s best friend, and it’s nice to meet you.”

“Alexander Hamilton.” He said as he took Arron’s hand in a hand shake, “Mary’s husband, her parents signed her away already.”

Mary stared wide-eyed at Alexander, “I’m already your wife?”

“You didn’t stay long enough for your parents to tell you that I’m already your husband and that they signed you away just yesterday.” Alexander extended his hand and Mary ignored it, “Please, come with me or we’ll just have to do this the hard way.”

Arron looked at Mary sadly, “Keep in touch…where ever you’re going.” Mary nodded and gave Arron a big hug.

“I love you Arron.” She gave him a kiss on the cheek and took Alexander’s hand, looking back at Arron sadly and waving good bye.

“I love you too Mary…even if you don’t know…” Arron whispered.

“This sucks.” Mary mumbled as she packed the rest of her things into her suitcases, “Freaking stupid…men are dumb and I want to stab them in the shin…”

Alexander grinned as he watched her angrily shove her things into the suitcases until she finally gave up. He looked around her room and saw a bunch of men who looked like women plastered on the wall, “Interesting…” He mumbled, smiling to himself.

“I’m done.” Mary mumbled dragging out the one suitcase filled with the things that she needed, then she looked up at the wall and took off the poster of Hideto Takarai. Alexander raised his eyebrows and helped her with her suitcase but she took it back from him, “I can do things myself, thank you.”

Alexander smiled and backed away, she was definitely a feisty one. He tried to pick up her other bags but she glared at him and picked them up herself, she easily made it out the door and the driver opened the trunk for her to put her things in. He tried to help her put them in but she glared at him too, “I can do this myself thank you.”

“But Miss, please it’s part of my job.” The man said, “Please allow me to help you.”

Mary reluctantly gave him the bags and glared at Alexander as the driver opened the door for her, she went in first and Alexander after. “You can’t be angry forever.”

“I can sure try.” Mary mumbled, scooting to the other side of the limo and crossing her arms.

Alexander rolled his eyes and took off the suit jacket, “It’ll be about an hour ride before we reach my jet.”

“Freaking liar…who could have a jet at such a young age…” Mary continued to mumble as she looked out the window.

“I’m not a liar, nor do you really know me. Since it’s such a long ride…how about you tell me a little bit about yourself?” Alexander smiled and stretched out his arms.

“My name is Mary Harwich, I’m sixteen years old and I hate you.” She smiled and turned her head back towards the window.

“Well…isn’t that just interesting. My name is Alexander Hamilton, as you already know, and I’m the owner of Hamilton Industries. You are now known as Mary Hamilton and hold that name well because it’ll get you places.”

Mary scoffed, “I’ve never even heard of Hamilton Industries or you.”

Alexander smiled at her and flipped through a magazine to a page where he was featured; he handed her the magazine and continued to smile.

Mary rolled her eyes and looked at the magazine, “Alexander Retarded Hamilton,” Mary inserted her own words into the monologue, “The eleventh richest man in America and also the youngest. At the age of twenty one he inherited his father’s corporation of ten billion dollars and now at the age of twenty two he’s still the most single freaking bachelor in the freaking United States.” She gave the magazine back to him, “So it basically says you’re freaking rich and a freaking bachelor that all girls oh-so want you. Sorry but I don’t read the types of magazines where the girls get up their hopes about a rich man who’ll take them away from their retarded lives.”

“I understand you don’t care, but you will, you will.” Alexander opened the mini fridge and pulled out some of his expensive wine, “Want some?”

“Sorry I don’t drink, I’m straight edged.” She grabbed a piece of ice and put it in her mouth; she noticed that he gave her a weird look, “Straight edged means you don’t drink, don’t do drugs and don’t have sex.”

“How exciting, I think that you’ll have to give up that life style of a straight edged girl because you’ll be doing that third one sooner than you think.” Alexander winked and took a whished his golden wine before he drank it.

“Men are disgusting.” She scoffed again and looked out the window, thinking about jumping out and killing herself. She looked at him quickly before turning her head towards the handle, with one quick move she unlocked the door and leaned back in the seat.

Alexander smiled and put his left arm around Mary, “So, you’re a junior in high school?”

Mary chuckled and tried to pull off his arm but he kept it firm in place and pulled her tightly against him, “Yes…I’m third year high school student.”

He forcibly pulled her towards the center of the seat and smiled, “Don’t even think about jumping out of the car.”

“I hate you.” Mary mumbled again, crossing her arms, “You’re annoying.”

“Good, that’s how I’d like to be.” He whispered in her ear, “Exactly how I like it.” He winked at her and put his arm around her waist, “You’re not getting away from me so easily.”

Mary frowned and leaned her head the other way, “I hate you.” She grabbed her iPod out of her purse and plugged in the headphones, blasting her iPod so she could go to sleep.

Alexander scrunched his nose to the noise he was hearing from her iPod and took the initiative of turning it off. “Sorry but your music is an atrocity.” He grabbed it and threw it out the window.

“Hey! That’s mine! I bought that with my hard earned money!” Mary cried hitting him on the shoulder.

“I’ll get you a new one.” Alexander chuckled, “It’s not like it’s that much anyways.”

“Not to you, but I actually worked hard for that. You probably don’t understand how it feels to work hard for something that you want, thanks a lot.” Mary tried to scoot away from him but he just pulled her closer; in fear of him getting any closer than comfortable, she stopped moving.

Mary stared around the window until her eyes were giving out on her; she slowly fell asleep on Alexander’s arm.

Alexander noticed that her body had gone very limp and put her head on his chest, he smiled as she adjusted herself to his built chest. He looked down at his PDA and started to look at his appointments when he noticed that tomorrow’s schedule was completely booked until eleven pm. He knew he couldn’t leave Mary alone, even if he wanted to, she’d probably find a tricky way to escape his mansion.

Alexander texted his secretary and told her to cancel all of his meetings, she questioned why and he just told her that she better have all of the clothes he requested at his mansion when he gets home.

He leaned back in the seat and looked down at Mary’s beautiful brown hair; she looked so peaceful when she wasn’t constantly yelling out ‘I hate you.’

Chapter Two

A bunch of people walked over to the limo and took out all of her belongings, “Mr. Hamilton it’s nice to see you again, and girlfriend?”

“None of your business, but if you must be nosy it’s my wife.” Alexander helped Mary out of the limo as she groggily rubbed her eyes.

The women looked at each other and smiled at Alexander, “Of course, Mr. Hamilton.” They grabbed Mary’s things quickly and walked into the jet to put it away.

Mary didn’t even know she was holding onto his hand but she let him escort her into the jet, “Cool beans…” She mumbled as he helped her into a cream leathered jet’s seat; she leaned her head back in the seat and fell asleep again.

The flight attendant looked at Alexander, “Is there anything I can get you Mr. Hamilton?” She smiled as she placed a silky blue blanket on Mary’s lap.

“I’m alright; I’ll call you when I need anything.” He took out his laptop and began to check all of the company’s stocks to make sure there wasn’t any drop in them. Mary groaned and he looked up at her; she was absolutely adorable when she was dreaming.

After about an hour of checking the stocks he finally gave up and put his laptop aside, clicking on the jet’s flat screen television and saw that You Don’t Mess With the Zohan was on. Mary looked up at the screen and groggily wiped her eyes, “What’s up Elmo?”

Alexander chuckled, “Elmo? So you’re up?”

“Where am I?” Mary mumbled, picking up the silky blue blanket and tossing it to the other side of the jet.

“You’re on my private jet and we’re watching You Don’t Mess With the Zohan.” He smiled and leaned back into the seat, “I like this movie.”

“Mr. Rich Man likes to watch movies? What a shocker.” Mary sat up straight and looked at Alexander across the room, “You know what?” Alexander looked over at her, “I’m going to call you Xander, because everyone seems to address you as Mr. Hamilton and if I’m going to be your wife I’m giving you a flipping nick name.”

“That’s fine, as long as you don’t address me as something vulgar in front of my fellow colleagues.” Alexander said turning his head back towards the flat screen.

“What would you think is vulgar? How about something childish like: Stinky face dog licker or…Alex I lick a lot of sand there.” Mary looked up at the jet’s ceiling trying to think of more nick names, “Stuck up rich boy who gets whatever he pleases and I mean that in a literal way.”

“You sure love to talk to me even though you presumably hate me so much.” Alexander grinned, “Or maybe you really already knew who I was and thought that it’d be cool to act like you don’t like me so that I’ll like you more?”

“Oh please, don’t think too highly of yourself Xander, I had no idea that billionaires even existed, nonetheless an ignoramus like you.”

“Just go to sleep, you’re absolutely repulsive right now. I just want to watch the movie.” Alexander looked back up at the screen, grinning like mad inside; he knew this would exasperate her like no other.

“Don’t tell me what to do! You don’t own me, no matter how much you think you already do.” She yelled irritably, “I hate you and I’m going to kill myself before you get anywhere near my pants!”

“Don’t say that Mary, killing oneself isn’t the answer to anything. Please, if you need some sleeping pills to take your mind off of the fact that you hate me so much, then I could get them for you in a millisecond.”

“I don’t need pills; I’m going to the bathroom.” She stood up and walked to the back of the jet and overheard a conversation of some women.

“Did you see Mr. Hamilton’s new catch? It’s funny how fast he goes through women huh?” She saw a blonde haired flight attendant say.

“I know! I’ve seen pictures of dozens of girls that he’s been with and this is the first time that he said that this girl was his wife! Do you think he’d really settle down with an ugly girl like her?” The redhead flipped her hair and laughed a donkey laugh, “Seriously, I think he’s just pulling our tails because she doesn’t even have a wedding ring on her finger!”

Mary looked sadly at the ground and felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned around and saw Alexander’s saddened face, “Don’t listen to them…I’ll settle this now.” Alexander pulled passed the curtains and smiled at the six women, “I find it rather funny that you girls would have the nerve to talk about me and my wife right on my jet! What if she doesn’t have a ring? Did any of you girls ever consider that I’m bringing her down to Chicago so that she could pick out a million dollar ring for herself?” Alexander chuckled, “No, I don’t think any of you girls could think at all because all of you were hired by my horny adversary, who doesn’t have the best pick in women. So, I suggest that when this plane lands in about twenty minutes, that I never see any of you women ever again.”

All the women took a deep breath and finally the redhead said something, “Mr. Hamilton we weren’t trying to say anything bad and you’ve told us our wrong doings but please don’t fire us.”

Alexander smiled, “To top it all off, I’ll make sure that none of you women will ever find work ever again.”

That’s when all of the women dropped to their knees and begged for Alexander to not fire them and do that to them, “Please Mr. Hamilton, please! I have two children!” The blonde woman cried, “Please!”

Alexander raised his hand in the air, “I won’t fire you but just make sure you don’t talk about my wife like that ever again or I’ll make sure that your children will be in foster homes.” Alexander closed the curtain behind him and held onto Mary’s hand, “Wasn’t so bad was it?”

“You’re crueler than I am! I thought that I was malicious but you do it down right dirty and nice at the same time. I mean you do it with a smile on your face and I do it with a frown…that was neat!” Mary smiled and jumped up and down on the seat, “I didn’t know you could be so…so…heartless.” An evil smile crept onto Mary’s face and Alexander just smiled, he was finally doing something that pleased her.

“Mr. Hamilton and Mrs. Hamilton, would you please buckle yourselves in, because we are about to land.” Mary felt and unpleasant chill run up her spine when she heard Mrs. Hamilton over the intercom, this was absolutely ridiculous.

“I know what you’re thinking.” Alexander said.

“Enlighten me to my own thoughts, please.” Mary sneered, looking out the window at the brown and gray patches of the city.

“You’re thinking that you can’t believe that the pilot just referred to you as Mrs. Hamilton because it’s unbelievably embarrassing to be seen with me.” Alexander kept his cool smile, “What you’re probably thinking now is that I’ve hit the spot and I’m already reading your thoughts like an open book.”

“Not at all Xander, I’m just thinking that you’re such a dull dim-witted fool, trying to read my thoughts and all.” Mary grinned and looked felt the plane descend, she grabbed onto Alexander’s arm and shut her eyes tightly.

Alexander smiled, “A little frightened by planes are we?”

Mary opened her eyes and let go of him quickly, “No, I ain’t never scared.” Mary crossed her arms and felt the plane bounce onto the ground and finally stop, “I ain’t never scared…”

“Alright little Mrs. Hamilton, whatever you say…” Alexander unbuckled his seatbelt and put on his suit jacket; straightening out his tie and buttoning the many buttons of his suit.

Mary unbuckled hers and straightened out her red halter with her hands and pulling up her knee high converse, “Sweet, we’re finally in Chicago, you’re going to take me out to eat right? Because I’m freaking starving.”

“Of course, what kind of food are you in the mood for? Or what do you prefer?” Alexander stepped out of jet and was practically bombarded with flashes from cameras; Alexander glared at his secretary, “I thought there wasn’t going to be any press.”

“I’m sorry Mr. Hamilton, but someone saw you at a girl’s house picking her up and driving her to your private jet. Many people even said that she went onto your jet with you and that she should be in Chicago with you!” Christina laughed, “Then I told them that there was no way you’d be doing something like that, especially going to a girl’s house and chasing after her!”

“Hi.” Mary stepped out from behind Alexander, “You must be his bitch, and it’s nice to meet you.”

Christina looked at Mary with an appalled face, “For your information, I’m his secretary and not his you know.”

Mary grinned at Alexander and he smiled back at her, “What did I tell you about vulgar things?”

“You told me to not call you vulgar things, not your bitch.” Mary rolled her eyes and held onto Alexander’s hand, “Now, honey, let’s go out and eat.” She battered her eye lashes and gave him another evil smile.

Alexander didn’t know what to think, but he guessed that he should make the best of things because this time she was willingly holding his hand. He walked down the flight of metal stairs and helped Mary down along the way. She put on a pair of sunglasses and slipped on a hat, “I’m always prepared for any occasion, honey.”

“I don’t know what to think about that…” The limo driver opened the door and Mary got in first and Alexander behind her, “I’ll bring you to my favorite restaurant, En Plein Air in Boston.”

“Why do you have to take me to one of those fancy restaurants that people can’t even pronounce the name? Can’t you do something easier, how about…I cook you something?” Mary smiled and grabbed onto his arm, “I promise that it’s not poison.”

“What’s with the sudden warmness towards me?” Alexander questioned and Mary pulled away from him, “I mean it’s not bad or anything.”

Mary shrugged and sat against the window, “Just thought it’d be nice…” Mary mumbled; leaning her head against the window and looking at the trees pass by quickly.

Alexander regretted saying that to her, now he didn’t know what to do, he wasn’t very good with dealing with women. Most of the time women would drop to their feet to do anything that pleased him, but this it was different, he had to do something to satisfy her.

He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again when he didn’t know what to say, what was he supposed to say to her anyways? He felt his PDA vibrate and looked at it, ‘You left me standing at your jet with an open mouth, Mr. Hamilton.’

‘I’m taking my wife out to eat, find someone to take you where ever you’re supposed to go. What happens to you is none of my concern and you know that Christina.’

“So, we’ll go to the French restaurant.”

“Whatever you want, I don’t care.” Mary didn’t bother to turn around and look at him; she was too busy in her dream world. She decided that she wouldn’t be nice towards him anymore, better yet, she wouldn’t even talk to him.

Alexander sighed and stared down at his PDA with a blank face, “How about I take you to work with me tomorrow?”

Mary shrugged, “Whatever you want, you’ve already have me.” She looked down at his PDA and grinned, grabbing it out of his hand quickly and jumping to the other side of the limo, “Let’s see who you’ve been texting…probably your girlfriend.” She started to open random windows until she finally found the message inbox.

“Wait, don’t touch my PDA it’s my life!” Alexander said as he tried to snatch it away from Mary.

Mary looked down at the text messages and started to read a conversation between him and a girl named Kristina. There was another conversation between Christina, who was his secretary and most of the text messages that he sent to her were pretty mean. When Mary began to read the messages between Kristina and him she felt a little disgusted.

You: What are you wearing?

Kristina: Nothing, how about you?

You: I’m in my office wearing my clothes, what else would I be wearing? Or in your case, wear nothing?

Kristina: Exactly, are you going to come over tonight?

Alexander snatched it away from her and looked down at what she was reading, she was reading the messages from Kristina and him, “Wait, she’s nothing to me seriously. This was a long time ago.”

Mary shrugged, “What you do with your time is nothing to me.” The limo stopped and Mary got out of the limo as fast as she could, gazing at the beautifully scripted sign of the restaurant, En Plein Air.

“Seriously, Mary you’re my wife and I’m definitely not going to be unfaithful.” Alexander grabbed onto her arm and she turned around and glared at him.

“Like I said what you do with your time is nothing to me. Plus, I don’t want to discuss this in public while a bunch of teenage girls are staring at you as they pass by.” Mary walked through the doors and looked at the man behind the podium.

“I’m sorry but we don’t have a table for people of your kind.” The French man played with his curly mustache and laughed at her.

Alexander walked through the doors held onto Mary’s hand, “Seriously, she’s nothing to me.”

Mary smirked, “I don’t want to talk about it right now. How about you tell this man what kind of people I am? Because he said that he didn’t have a table for people of my kind, what exactly am I? An alien, because I’m pretty sure I don’t have antennas coming out of my head.”

Alexander looked at the French man, “Louis, how can you reject my wife in such an ill manner, I guess I don’t need to donate to your restaurant anymore.” He turned to walk out but Louis blocked his way from the door.

“Excusez-moi Monsieur Hamilton, I didn’t know that she was your wife or I would have accepted her immediately! Please stay! I’ll give you ze best table in ze house!” The French man smiled and showed his yellow rotten teeth.

“Honey, I don’t want to eat here, the French man has ugly teeth and he was mean to me!” Mary whined like annoying spoiled brat so that the French man could offer better; she tugged on Alexander’s arm and he looked down at her.

“Well I guess we could go to my other favorite restaurant Tomber Amoureux, it’ll literally make you fall in love with their food!” Alexander smiled and tried to walk out the door but Louis stood firmly in his place.

“Mousier Hamilton!! Tenez-vous là! My boss would have my head if you don’t eat here!” Mary looked at him funny, what was he saying?

“Je ne regretterai pas de partir d’ici, you should have thought about that before you insulted my wife.” Alexander pushed passed him and pulled Mary along the way.

Mary hopped into the limo and smiled at him, “What’d you say to that man?”

“I told him that I won’t regret leaving here,” Alexander smiled, “at least now you’re smiling, I have that much to thank him for.”

Chapter Three

The Next Day…

Alexander walked into Mary’s room and poked her, “Wake up; I’m taking you to work with me. I can’t have you staying at my house destroying everything and taking the initiative to run away.”

“I don’t want to mom! I don’t like school; everyone makes fun of me anyways because of the way I look. Please don’t make me go!” Mary rolled over and threw the blanket over her head.

Alexander ripped the blanket off, “Wake up, you’re going to make me late to observe the new industry!”

Mary sat up and looked up at Alexander, “You’re not my mommy…”

“Of course I’m not your mother, goodness, I’m your husband now get your butt up. I prepared a suit for you to wear to work with me and I’ll even pay you to stay by my side.” Alexander took the wedding ring out of his suit pocket and shoved it on Mary’s ring finger, “Hurry up.”

Mary looked at the clock, “But it’s four in the morning!” She whined, “I don’t want to go!”

“Get up, or I’ll cut your hair while you’re sleeping tomorrow. We’re up early because it looks bad if the boss thinks too highly of himself if he’s late to his own meeting.” Alexander walked to her bathroom and turned on the sink, “Wash up and get the suit on, I’ll have some breakfast ready.”

Mary reluctantly got up and brushed her teeth, she looked in the mirror and saw a girl with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. The most ordinary girl in the world and all the sudden she’s with a billionaire? The way the world works doesn’t make sense to her at all, but she brushed her hair and saw that it was perfectly straight already.

She looked down at the suit he had prepared for her and it was a red pencil skirt and an off white blouse, “Great, I’m going to look like a freaking idiot.” She slipped it on quickly and looked down at the black heels; they were almost three inches tall! Mary put on some eyeliner and dark eye shadow, “I’m ready!” Mary yelled as she made her way down the stairs.

Alexander stared up at her and almost spit out his coffee, “I almost didn’t recognize you, thought you were some strange lady that broke into my house asking for money.”

Mary rolled her eyes, “You speak of it like you’ve actually had it happen before.” Mary looked at her cell phone and saw that she had at least five messages from Arron; she shut it and made a mental note to reply to him.

“Breakfast is on the table.” Alexander stood by the sink and drank his coffee while looking at the paper, “Eat quickly please.”

Mary sighed, “You might as well let me eat it in the car if you want me to hurry so much.” She sat down and stared at the pancakes, she didn’t feel very hungry but felt like she had to eat anyways. She picked up two pancakes and shoved them into her mouth; chewing with force so that the pancakes would make it down her throat.

“Slow down, a lady shouldn’t act so unruly.” He said as he drank his coffee, “Please act like a lady when you’re with me.”

Mary mimicked him and drank her orange juice quickly and stood up, “Let’s go Mister Wears-His-Pants-On-Too-Tight.” She grabbed her phone off the table and walked out of the front door.

Alexander locked the door and looked at her from behind; she definitely attractive and she didn’t even know it. “We’re taking the Lexus; I don’t like taking my best cars to a construction site.”

Mary looked at the large array of expensive cars and before she found the white Lexus RX-470 and stood by the passenger side, waiting for him to unlock the door.

It was about a ten minute ride before they reached the large construction site, there was a hundred men working vigorously, “My favorite, large built men who know what to do with their hands.” Mary mumbled with an unexcited voice.

Alexander opened the door for Mary and handed her a clipboard, “Take notes; make yourself look like you’re useful. If I have to put a leash on you then I’ll make sure that you never leave the house.”

“Why are you all the sudden dropping threats on me? We still haven’t talked about Kristina and I’ll make sure that you’ll never forget that, because I hate you.” Mary mumbled as she got out of the car and held onto clipboard, “What exactly am I suppose to write?”

“If you think someone is doing really well at their job, ask their name and put it down on the paper. I’ll consider giving them a raise.” Alexander walked into the construction site and Mary trailed behind him.

Mary looked down at the paper and flipped through them, they were all filled with graphs and numbers of his stocks. She shrugged and figured this was trying to make her look like another one of his secretaries.

“Mr. Hamilton, I’m glad that you could come down here and have a look at the building plans. It seems that we have a little problem with some of the sewage pipes and we don’t have city clearance to do anything to them. We just need you to look at them so that we’ll figure out what to do with your new building.” The man looked as though he was around his thirties with balding brown hair and bright green eyes. “Right this way Mr. Hamilton.” The man escorted him to the empty center of the construction and laid out the blueprints on the table, “I noticed that you have a new secretary?’

Alexander chuckled, “Sure, you can call her that.” Alexander looked down at the blueprints and began to examine the problem.

Mary looked around at all the men who were doing construction and looked at the men who were just sitting around eating their breakfasts. Mary looked at Alexander and realized how into his work he really was; the way he talked showed that he really knew what he was doing. She smiled at him, but he didn’t even notice; she didn’t want him to notice anyways because then he’d pull some of that, “at least you’re finally smiling” crap.

She saw some of the men eye her with hungry eyes and a couple licked their lips and wink at her. She looked at them in disgust and showed them her ring finger, at least now she could say she is taken. “Toi et moi, nous allons parler[1].” She winked at Alexander and he looked up at her in surprise, she knew French? Why did she want to talk to him anyways?

“Oui mon amour[2].” Alexander looked back down at the blueprints and continued to his work.

Mary sighed in boredom and looked down at her phone, the clock showed five am. “Great…” She mumbled as she read the text messages Arron sent her. Most of them consisted of what are you doing and how are you feeling?

She began to text Arron back saying that she was fine and that she absolutely hated Alexander to the upmost of her heart. If only she didn’t marry that rotten man then everything would be alright and how much she hated her parents and that she never wants to see them again.

“Mary,” She sent the message and looked up at Alexander, “We can go now, and I’ve settled it.” Mary nodded and followed closely behind him, “We’ll be flying to my other office in California; it’ll take about two to three hours.”

“Okay.” Mary mumbled, “I didn’t write down any names, sorry.”

“I know, I glanced up at you a few times and saw that your eyes were glued to your cellular device.” Alexander opened the door for her, “I saw some of what you were texting, and your parents wish for you to visit sometime. They have the idea that you’ll see them even after the little arrangement they put you in.”

“You may be blonde but you sure have some knowledge and you don’t need to get into the situation with my mother and father. They just don’t know what they are putting me in because they can’t possibly think it’d be too bad for me to be married to a billionaire. Speaking of the whole arrangement, how did they even get in touch with you? I bet you’re practically unreachable by a normal citizen, nonetheless my parents.”

Alexander smiled and sat in the driver’s seat, “We’ll talk about this when we are on the jet and I’ll explain everything.”

“Whatever.” Mary mumbled, “I just don’t understand what you get out of this whole situation, that’s all.”

The car ride was an eerie quiet as they both made their way to the airstrip, Mary would constantly look over at Alexander to see if she could read his thoughts. “What kind of music do you like?” Mary asked questionably, “I mean, every single time we’re in a car you don’t listen to any kind of music.”

“Right now I just like to listen to my thoughts, and for the music, I don’t really prefer anything.” Alexander said as he pulled into the airstrip, helping Mary out of the passenger’s seat and locking the doors, “Don’t take this personally but you’re actually kind of annoying.”

“Merci beaucoup; asshole[3].” Mary mumbled; walking up the metal stairs and into the jet. She seated herself as far away from Alexander as she could and leaned her head against the wall; it was the first time she’s ever been called annoying and she found it highly insulting. Mary thought that this is what she gets for saying she hated him, but she really did.

Alexander looked up at her and realized he probably shouldn’t have said that, he didn’t find her the least bit annoying at all. He didn’t know why he said that, “Mary—“ He started to say before he saw Christina walk onto the plane, “Christina, give me the papers.”

Christina looked over at Mary and then handed him the papers, seating herself right besides Alexander. “As you see here,” She pointed to a spot on the papers, “I noticed that someone has been extracting money from the company and I haven’t really had any leads on who would.” Christina looked back over at Mary and down at the papers, she didn’t understand why his so called wife would be all the way over there. Yet, she didn’t care; as long as she could be close to Mr. Hamilton then it was all okay.

The jet took off and soon it was at thirty thousand feet, Mary didn’t even feel frightened, she felt like she just needed her best friend. Just then, she felt her phone begin to vibrate and she looked down at the number, Arron. She smiled and walked into the bathroom, “Hello?”

“Hey Mary, how are you holding up? From the text message, I guessed that you were really depressed and that you hate him even more now.”

“You have no idea,” she whispered, “he called me annoying…and I feel so bad now. I still don’t understand why he chose me out of all people. Why did it have to be me? Why couldn’t have it been some willing girl that would swoon all over him?”

“He doesn’t even know what he’s talking about, you, the prettiest girl I know, are not annoying at all.” Arron stated, “He just had no idea who he’s dealing with. This is probably the first time he’s had a girl that hates his guts more than the employees that he fires.”

Mary sighed and looked at herself in the mirror, “It’s only been…two days…and I already feel like I’d rather kill myself then spend time with this horrible monster.”

“Don’t you dare say that, because I will never forgive myself if anything happened to you. I would feel like it’s entirely my fault for your death because I let you go with him, I didn’t do anything to stop it.” Arron said sadly, “I miss you already; school’s not the same without you.”

“What do you mean? You get hit on by the entire female population at school; you’ll have someone to replace me in no time.” Mary slumped down onto the ground, “But I’m glad that someone actually cares about me enough and actually misses me.”

“Why wouldn’t anyone miss you, Mary? You’re the only person who made me smile during history class and the only person who understood the things I was going through. You’re the only person who looked at my personality instead of my looks.” Arron looked at the picture he had stuck in his pocked of Mary and him; he gazed at it sadly, “It hurts me even more to even think that I might not ever see you again.”

Mary felt a tear trickle down her left cheek, “Don’t say that Arron, you know we’ll see each other sometime in the near future…” She sobbed quietly, “You are the only friend I have…”

“The Mary I know doesn’t cry and I’m sure we’ll see each other again. For now you just have to tough it out being his wife…boy that sounds strange, but as long as you don’t fall in love with him then he doesn’t have the chance to hurt you.” Arron looked at the clock, “I have to go to school, keep your chin up though okay?”

Mary smiled and wiped away her tears, “Of course, don’t fail your classes because I’m not in them anymore.”

“Alright, I love you Mary, don’t jump out of that plane.” Arron said sadly, “Bye.” He hung up the phone and got into the car, “I can’t believe I even let her go…”

Mary looked at her red eyes in the mirror and splashed some water on her face; little did she know, Alexander had been standing at the door listening.

He looked down at the ground and walked back to where he was sitting, “Why did you leave Mr. Hamilton?”

He glared at Christina, “Must you always question what I do? You’re my secretary, stop trying to get into my personal life.”

“I’m sorry Mr. Hamilton, I didn’t mean to pry.” Christina looked down at the stocks and realized that Mr. Hamilton hasn’t been himself ever since he’s been with his “wife.” He was more tempted to snap at her and say rude comments; which saddened her because she had the biggest crush on Mr. Hamilton.

Mary’s eyes finally lost their red tint and she smiled to herself in the mirror, “Tough it out girl, then your life can be one of those stupid women in the hills or something.” She walked out of the bathroom and looked at Alexander, whose head was still buried in his work. She walked back over to her corner and looked at the bag she brought with her; taking out her laptop and vigorously writing the story she had been working on.

Alexander looked up at her quickly and noticed that she was doing something on a laptop? He realized that she must have worked a lot for her things and he tossed out her iPod…no wonder she hated him. He knew that her parents couldn’t give her anything so everything she owned was what she worked for, “Mr. Hamilton, here you see the money was put into an account in Switzerland?” Christina looked up at him and saw that he was staring at Mary with confused eyes.

Mary looked up and saw that Alexander’s eyes were fixated on her; she glared at him and mouthed, “I hate you.”

Chapter Four

Mary sat in the limo and looked at the surroundings in California; she took the initiative of sitting on the other side of the limo and looking out of the tinted black windows while Alexander chatted with his secretary. Mary felt her phone vibrate and she looked down at it, her mother was calling her and she took out her battery and shoved it into her bag.

Alexander looked at her curiously and he hated the fact that she won’t even talk to him, it was practically eating him up inside. “Mr. Hamilton, we’ll need to discuss this in the office at the board meeting, would you like me to take notes?”

“Whatever you think is best.” Alexander looked down at his watch and realized that it was only nine thirty in the morning; there was still a whole day ahead of him. Which would probably consist of Mary ignoring him and he didn’t know how much of this he could take. “Mary,” He walked to the other side of the limo and sat next to her, “You’ve been awfully quiet today.”

“Oui, Monsieur Hamilton, je n’aurais pas été aussi en colère si ……” (I wouldn’t be so angry if…) Mary looked at him and back at his secretary who was giving her an evil eye, “elle veut que tu reviennes. (she wants you to go back)” Mary looked out the window and decided that she wouldn’t tell him why she was angry.

“Tu l’as dit!” (You’re telling me!)Alexander grabbed her arm and sighed, “s’il vous plait.” (Please)

“Pas maintenant, (Not now) she’s looking at us.” Mary pointed to his secretary, “I hate her.”

Alexander chuckled, “Jaloux? She’s just my secretary and we were just working on the business.”

“Whatever, I don’t want to talk about this right now, I already told you that.” Mary didn’t take her eyes off the window, “I’d like it better if you had a male secretary.”

Alexander looked at her and at his secretary, “That’s just not fair, what about Arron?”

“He’s my best friend,” Mary whispered in his ear, “plus, I bet you’re hitting that. If you are unfaithful, I’m taking all of your money.” Mary smiled and pushed him away from her, “baka…”

“Hey! Don’t switch languages!” Alexander laughed, “I don’t understand Japanese…”

“We’re here Mr. Hamilton.” Christina said as she glared at Mary, “Don’t worry, I don’t understand Japanese or French.” Christina stated as she climbed out of the limo.

Mary looked at Alexander and gave him an I-don’t-like-her-look. “She’s been working with me for two years though…I’m not going to fire her just because you don’t like her.”

“On ne sait jamais, you never know, she probably likes you. I’m not saying probably, I’m saying that I know she does.” Mary said as she climbed out of the limo and Alexander trailed behind her.

“I wouldn’t ever subject myself to do anything with a secretary, trust me, you see those big shot guys who cheat on their wives with their hot secretaries. She’s not one of those, believe me.”

“Pouvez-vous lui faire savoir que…?” (Will you tell her that?) I doubt that he’d ever tell her that to her face, he thought too highly of himself to do anything like that.

“Je ne vois pas de quoi tu parles(I don’t know what you’re talking about); if you want me to then…when we get back to Chicago.”

Mary smiled, “Exactly what I want.” She walked ahead of him and Christina with her head held high then she turned around, “Can I use the driver?”

Alexander looked at her funny, “Why…?”

Mary smiled and walked back to the limo, “Because I want to go somewhere and not listen to another one of your boring board meetings. So will you let me?”

“Alright…but I’m giving you three body guards. Not for your safety, it’s because I want them to keep an eye on you.” Alexander called someone and in a second there were three very large men dressed in nice suits in front of Mary. Alexander whispered something in their ears and they all nodded, Mary gave them a very curious look, “You can go, but behave.”

“Fine,” She grabbed his PDA out of his pocket and put her number in it, “Whenever you’re done, just call.” She smiled and looked at Christina who was thinking that Alexander has never done anything like this for her. Then again, she was only his secretary and nothing else. “Faire l’amour avec Christina!” (Make love to Christina!) Mary said laughing as she climbed into the limo with the three body guards trailing behind her.

Alexander looked at her and shook his head, “Pas question!” (No way!) He walked into the building and felt saddened that Mary didn’t want to be around him. Although, when he thought about it, he did bond with her while they were in the limo.

Mary looked at the big body guards and noticed that all of the men were bald, maybe it was a fashion statement amongst the body guards? “So what are your names?” Mary said as she stretched herself out on the limo seat.

“We’re not allowed to talk to you unless it’s a reason to get you away from someone.” One of the biggest men said, he had the deepest voice Mary had ever heard in her life.

“Okay, be a spoiled sport, I haven’t talked to anyone face to face in two days. I just thought that I’d be nice to strike up a conversation with another human being.” Mary mumbled.

“I’m sorry Ma’am, but it is part of our job to not do the conversation thing. Mr. Hamilton won’t let us, he absolutely despises it when someone tries to talk to him and they’ll be fired on the spot. All of us love our job and we’d take a bullet for you in a heartbeat, we just don’t want to jeopardize it by talking to the mistress of Mr. Hamilton.” The biggest man responded, “We’re sorry.”

“I’m not Mr. Hamilton, I’m a woman. Thanks for insulting me guys.” She looked up at the limo ceiling and saw from the corner of her eye the body guards looking at each other worriedly.

“I’m Hank.” The biggest bald body guard said, “I’m thirty four years old and I’m not married nor do I have any kids.”

“I’m Darrell and I’m thirty years old, I’m just about the same as Hank but younger and better looking.”

Mary laughed and the other body guard smiled, “I’m Robert and I’m just the same as them except I’m the youngest of the group, at the age of twenty five.”

“How’s it like working for a man who’s younger than you men?” Mary asked curiously, “I mean, it has to be strange. I’ve been thinking about it and most of the people who work under him are many years older than him.”

“We can’t say much about that, other than it’s not as strange as you think it is. Most of the body guards I know are working for girl’s who are very young. The money pays well and we enjoy our job, sometimes it’s exciting and sometimes it’s very boring.” Hank said, “Plus, it’s only bad when the women go shopping.” All of the body guards began laughing and nodding; Mary could only do one thing but smile.

Mary jumped to the other side of the limo and tapped on the black glass that separated them from the driver, “How about you driver?”

He rolled down the window and showed a fairly young man, “My name is David and I’m twenty years old. I don’t find it very strange to work for a man who is only one year old than I am, other than that I heard from plenty of other of his drivers that he gets around a lot.”

Mary smiled and looked at him in the mirror, “I bet he gets around a lot, he’s hot shot rich boy. Plus, I bet before he inherited the company he was probably running around the world doing ever girl he possible could.”

“I can’t comment to any of that,” David said, “Where would you like to go?”

Mary thought about it quickly, “Where’s the closest mall? I’d love to buy a dress for dear old Mr. Hamilton to wear.”

“Alright Miss, it’ll be about ten minutes before we’ll reach the mall.” David looked at the rear view mirror, “Do you mind me asking you a question?” Mary shook her head, “What are you to Mr. Hamilton? Are you another one of those girls who he has relations with?”

Mary thought about it and realized it was best to not tell them she is his wife, “I’m his long lost sister that his father never told him about.” She put a finger over her mouth, “Don’t tell anyone.”

David nodded, “I can’t tell anyone even if I wanted to. It is part of my contract; if I do tell anyone then my whole life is screwed. To be honest, I don’t want to risk that.”

Mary shrugged and looked at the body guards, “How long have you guys been body guards?”

“We’ve all been body guards since we were at the age of eighteen; we all had the same kinds of lives. We didn’t know what to do and our friends introduced to the job! We found out that it pays very well and we absolutely love the fact to have money to spend.” David said as they all agreed, “This is the first time I’ve laughed while I was on the job!”

“That’s good! At least you can enjoy yourselves once in a while even if I can’t...” Mary mumbled as the driver informed that they arrived at the mall. “Good, because Alexander didn’t exactly give me any money, so I’ll just use my own.” The driver got out and opened the door for them; Mary let the body guards out first so that she could trail behind them.

“I’ll circle around for a bit,” he wrote his number down on a piece of paper and handed it to Hank, “call me when you guys are done.”

Mary nodded and looked at the large mall; people were looking at her funny and she looked at her body guards, “Is there something on my face I should know about?”

“No Miss, it’s just they’ve never seen a woman with three body guards around her before. Also…about your whole money situation…” Darrell took out a credit card and handed it to her, “He had a card made in your name, and he told us that you can use it in any way you want.”

Mary took the card from him and saw that it said Mary Hamilton on it; she rolled her eyes and held it in her hand, “I’ll make sure to make use of this.” The body guards opened the doors for her and she looked around at all the stores, she really didn’t have the desire to shop. It was more like look at the things that she could possibly buy.

She walked into the first store that was very elegant and looked absolutely expensive, “Hello Miss is there anything that I can help you with?” A blonde haired, nicely dressed, woman said to Mary.

“Not at all, I’m just looking.” Mary stated as walked over to one of the shelves full of handbags. She looked at the woman and motioned her to come over, “I want those bags,” Mary pointed to six bags and she looked at a phone charm, “That too.” The woman gave her a surprised look and went to the back to retrieve the items. In about three minutes there were two women holding boxes and dropped it on the counter.

The cashier looked at the boxes with wide eyes and began to type in the numbers, “You’re total will be six thousand, two hundred sixty three dollars with forty seven cents.” Mary took out her credit card and handed it to the woman, “License or ID please.”

Darrell took out a license card and handed it to the woman, “I forgot about that, sorry Mrs. Hamilton.”

It was about two hours before Mary was tired of the mall and she settled herself in the limo and looked at the rear view mirror, “Has Xander called at all? Because if he hasn’t…let’s go to the beach, I just want to see the ocean for the first time…”

“He hasn’t called Miss; it’ll be about a twenty minute ride until we reach the beach. There is wine and some refreshments in the fridge by the seat.” Mary nodded and stretched out on the black leather seats, “Or you could rest for a bit.”

Mary felt someone lightly shake her body, “We’re at the beach Mrs. Hamilton.” Mary got up and crawled out of the limo, smelling the wonderful sea. She smiled and walked onto the sand, taking off her heels and stockings.

“This is wonderful…I’ve never been on the sand like this before!” She ran out close to the tide and looked down at the small shells, smiling as the beautiful orange and yellow sun hung over the cerulean beach. The body guards stood ten feet away from her and watched her closely, making sure no one came up to her or tried to do anything.

Mary walked out onto the water and felt the coolness brush up against her toes and ankles, it was a feeling she had never felt before. She giggled as she splashed around in the water and then she felt her phone vibrate, she flipped it open, “Hello?”

“Have you had lunch yet?” The voice on the other line stated smoothly.

“No I haven’t Xander; I’m actually thirty minutes away from your office.” She stated as she continued to splash around in the water.

“You’ve been at the beach for almost three hours? Come back to the office, we’ll have lunch and then we’ll leave.”

“You’re such a jerk.” Mary hung up the phone and stormed back into the limo; dusting off her feet and slipping back on her stockings and heels. “Get back to the office David.”

Chapter Five

“Where do you want to eat?” Alexander said as he climbed into the limo and all of the body guards left.

Mary made sure to climb out and say good bye to them, “Bye Hank, Darrell and Robert; I found our time together to be absolutely adventurous. I hope we’ll see each other sometime again!” Mary smiled and they all shook hands, “Be good, I’ll make sure to find you guys some female companionship.”

“Alright Mrs. Hamilton, take care of yourself.” Mary nodded and climbed back into the limo, seating herself in the back.

She tapped on the glass, “What do you think is a good restaurant in California, David?”

The tinted black glass rolled down and he whispered to Mary, “I don’t think I can talk with you while you’re around Mr. Hamilton.”

“Don’t worry; he’s got his hot secretary who wants to bang him repeatedly on his desk.” Mary whispered back quietly, causing David to chuckle and cough, “So what’s a good restaurant?”

“To be honest, if it was me, I’d go to a quick fast food place and eat while you’re going to the jet. I don’t really like all of the fancy restaurants that are around California, but I’ve heard that the new French restaurant Sucré Amour.” Alexander looked at the two with jealousy, why was she suddenly striking up conversation with the driver?

“A restaurant called Sweet Love? No thanks, how about we pick up some cheeseburgers because I haven’t even had any real food in a while.” She said as she turned around and looked at Alexander, “Is that okay with you boss?”

“Ah, yes, that’s fine.” Alexander said as Christina gave him a disgusted look, “What’s the matter Christina?”

“You are honestly going to eat Cheeseburgers? Do you know how bad that is for your health?” Christina said with a stuck up voice, “Mr. Hamilton, I can’t allow you to do this.”

“Excusez-moi? Who are you to tell Xander what he can and cannot do? Little missy but I’m pretty sure that he pays your paycheck.” Mary snapped back, “For your information, I’ve been running track and cross country for five years.”

“You may be his bitch but you don’t talk to me like you know me!” Christina raised her voice causing Alexander to be surprised, “Just because I care about what Mr. Hamilton puts in his stomach doesn’t mean that I’m trying to tell him what to do!”

Mary scoffed, “I am not anyone’s bitch, and at least I have the little sense of knowledge to not use such vulgar terms around the man that you like so much.”

“I may love Mr. Hamilton because I’ve worked with him for two years! I may be older then Mr. Hamilton by a year doesn’t mean that a newbie like you can talk to me like that. I went to college and received a honest degree, but that doesn’t mean I should subject myself to be talked to by a gold digger like you!” Christina shrieked, “What makes you think you can talk to me like this?”

Alexander intercepted, “Christina, how dare you raise your voice to my wife. I’ve never seen you act like this before, especially in calling my wife a bitch?” Alexander planted himself next to Mary, “How dare you say that you love me? And insult my wife in such terms, because she is far from a gold digger.”

Mary turned around and looked at David, “This is a good show huh? Wish I had some popcorn.”

“Mr. Hamilton…I…I don’t know what came over me…I’m sorry. I’m sorry Mrs. Hamilton I didn’t mean to have such a terrible outburst.” Christina said with a forced on smile, “Please forgive me.”

Mary laughed and turned back around at David, “I’d never forgive this obscene woman, she’s a naïve retard.”

“Mary!” Alexander said in a loud whisper, “Remember our promise?”

“What promise darling? Are you speaking about the promise that I’d always hate you?” Mary said with a pout, “David, just drive to the airstrip, I’m ready to leave.”

Alexander looked at Christina, “When we get to the airstrip, you’re fired.”

Christina had tears fill up in her eyes, “Mr. Hamilton please don’t do this to me…I need this job.”

Mary scoffed again and glared at her, “You’re fired…and let me speak for Xander here, because I remember the last time some women were talking badly about me. I’ll make sure that you never find a job again because you absolutely disgust me.” She winked at her, “But you’re hot and I’d tap that.”

“Mary! I’d never say something as vulgar as that, and I’d never want to do anything to her in sexual terms.” Alexander stated leaning back in his seat, “Christina’s écervelé et laid.”

Mary smiled, “Oh, if she’s so brainless and ugly…why was she your so called secretary?” David tried to not laugh, “Mon amour.”

“Ne dites-le à voix haute!” Alexander said trying to keep his eyes off an angry Christina.

“Why won’t I say it out loud? She doesn’t understand French so I have to tell her what we’re talking about…” Mary grinned and mouthed, “I hate you.”

“We’re here!” David said with a high pitched voice, jumping out of the car and opening the door for them. “It was a pleasure talking with you Mrs. Hamilton, even though I had the biggest thought that you were his sister…”

Mary smiled, “I would sound too old if I said I was married, I’m only sixteen for goodness sakes!” Mary shook hands with him and said their good byes, because he had to take Christina to a regular airport so that she could get back home. Mary ran up the metal stairs and laid out onto the cream leather seats; letting out a breath of relief.

“Toi et moi, nous allons parler.” Alexander said as he walked onto the jet, “You were out of line in the limo; I would never expect my wife to act out of line like that!”

“You’re saying I acted out of line? Are you serious? Did you not hear the way she was talking to me? Oh, and should I say…I was right?” Mary grinned; sitting up and giving him a cocky look.

Three flight attendants came in with her bags and she smiled, “Oh, goody new things.”

Alexander rolled his eyes, “So much for Christina’s gold digger theory…”

Mary laughed, “If you want me to pay you back, I can. I have a bank account with money that my grandparents left me; I just plan to save it for the future. It’s your fault you gave me a credit card.”

“How much money are you talking about?” Alexander asked curiously as the pilot began to get ready for take off.

“Why should I tell you?”

“Because I’m your husband and you love me…” Alexander said as he sat next to her.

“Two hundred thousand dollars…” Mary mumbled quietly, “I’ve never touched it though.”

“You’re parents were in debt five hundred thousand dollars…why didn’t you help them pay off it a little bit? Did they even know you had this amount of money?”

“Because…they don’t know about it…because…my grandparents didn’t want my parents to get a hold of the money. They knew about my father’s gambling problems…and that’s why. I promised them, even before they died, that I’d never let my parents touch it.” Mary said sadly, “They left me two cars that are stashed away in a garage and a beach house…that my parents also don’t know about. I’m not a little sixteen year old teenager who doesn’t have anything…to be honest.”

“Since we’re on the subject of your grandparents…it was their will for you to be my wife when you turned of age to be legally married. Your parents being in debt made it all easier to marry you…I was a little outraged when my father told me that I was to be married to you, but after a while I got over it. Arrange marriages work out longer than a marriage for love, you’ll grow to love me Mary…you’ll see.” Alexander said, holding Mary’s hand tightly, “Even if you try to convince yourself that you hate me.”

Mary rolled her eyes, “Well maybe you could be more of a man when someone is insulting me and I’ll think about it…”

Alexander sighed, “I’m sorry but I honestly didn’t know that Christina liked me like that, I’ve been working with her for two years and I would have never guessed…you’re just smarter than me Mary!”

“Qu’est-ce qui t’a donne cette idée?” (Whatever gave you that idea?) Mary smiled, “You know…you’re going to have to tell me about the other Kristina.”

“Well then, it’s only fair if you tell me about Arron, because I’m very curious about him.” The plane took off slowly and Mary closed her eyes tightly and squeezed both of her hands together.

“Arron’s my best friend and has been for…ten years, when I was six he was seven and we met on the elementary school playground, he helped me out when I was getting bullied on. He’s always been there when I was getting bullied and around eighth grade was when he began to blossom and all the girls started to hit on him. Even with that he still was my best friend that looked out for me when other girls tried to tell me to stay away from him.” Mary sighed, “He was in almost every single one of my classes, but Track and Cross-country because he was too busy being the quarterback of the stupid football team.”

“Kristina was a one night stand…and a couple more night stands…a lot of night stands…well I was going out with her until she cheated on me with my best friend; ever since then she’s been trying to get back together with me.”

Mary raised her eyebrows and dug his PDA out of his pocket; she searched through the phone book and deleted all of the Christina’s or Kristina’s in the phonebook, “There, problem solved…although I was thinking that if you didn’t want her to contact you so badly then you should have changed your number. So you’re just jerking my chain when you say that she tries to get back with you and you haven’t done anything about it to keep it from happening. So I suggest you start telling the truth or I throw your PDA across the room.”

“I’m serious!” Alexander said in an exasperated voice, “She went out with me for two years and I found out she cheated on me with at least twenty guys! One of them being my best friend and I walked in on her twice! In my bed! I forgave her the first time and after that I realized she was just using me and spent about two million dollars of my money and ever since then she’s been trying to get back with me so that she has spending money.” Alexander said that as fast as he could and eyed his PDA like his life, “Can I have it back?”

Mary handed it back to him and looked out the window at the clouds, she thought about wanting to go back home but she knew that Alexander would never go for it. “Hey snob, do I have to go to work with you tomorrow?”

“No, I’ll just leave the three body guards that I gave you today to stay with you for a week.” Alexander put his PDA aside and looked at Mary’s expression, “I’ll be gone for a week because I have to go to China to sort out some business.”

“Okay.” Mary said with an unexcited voice, “Have fun…” She looked out the window and thought about where the cars were, they were in Florida…that was practically like seven or six hours away from Florida! Then she started to think where the other car was located…well there was a house in Chicago and a car in the garage. Mary smiled and leaned back into her seat, at least she could get somewhere by herself.

“You better not leave the house, those body guards will keep a close watch on you.” Alexander went on this long lecture that lasted the whole plane ride, which Mary nodded off about six times.

“You know what you should have told Kristina?” Alexander looked up at her with a confused face, “Je ne suis pas cousu d’or!”

Alexander laughed, “But that’s practically what I’m made of, what am I without my money?”

“Caca!” Mary laughed as she got into the Lexus, “No seriously, I’m okay with staying in Chicago with three large men…in your house…alone…with me…”

“They won’t do anything, trust me.” Alexander said as he started the car, “How much did you spend today?”

Mary laughed and looked out the window, “Fifteen thousand…….” She mumbled barely audible.

“You know it’s okay, right?” Alexander smiled, “You’re my wife and all.”

Mary rolled her eyes, “I’m tired of you saying I’m your wife, because right now I don’t want to think that I’m already committed to you! I mean I didn’t even get to experience the whole dating scene…except once…” Mary said trailing off, “But that doesn’t matter, I don’t understand why you keep on saying that! Why can’t you say I’m just a friend that you’ve known all your life and don’t talk to her that way or else I’ll break off your neck?”

“Who was your first boyfriend?” Alexander said as he punched in the numbers of the gate, “Don’t be shy…I’ll tell you that I’ve been around.”

Alexander pulled into the garage and Mary got out, “You’re basically saying you’re a man whore? I know you are not…I don’t know what to say…never mind.” Mary walked into the house and took off her heels, running up the stairs and turning on the shower.

Alexander walked into her room, “What do you mean? Tell me…don’t just run away!”

“Je n’en ai aucune idée.” Mary said as she rummaged through the closet.

“What do you mean you have no idea? You were trying to say something!” Alexander yelled over the shower, Mary came out of the closet with her necessities and looked at him and then ran into the bathroom.

Alexander sighed and walked out of her room, going into the garage to grab all of her things, “Women are so difficult to understand…”

Mary walked out of the shower and saw all of her bags lying out on the ground; she smiled and walked into his room. He had just gotten out of the shower and he only had a towel around his waist, “Alexand….er…”

Her eyes popped out and she was just about to turn around and leave when Alexander grabbed her arm, “Hey, what’s the matter?”

Mary did a nervous laugh and looked back at his glistening half naked upper body, “Nothing…I just…” She turned back around and tried not to look back at his nice six packs, “thank you…”

“Mary what’s wrong? You’re shaking and you look sick.” He turned her around and placed his back hand against her head, “You’re warm, are you alright?”

Mary looked up at his wet blonde hair and bright green eyes, “Yes…” She said in a shaking voice, “I’m just fine!”

“Are you nervous because I’m just in a towel?” Alexander laughed and saw how Mary was trying to leave the room, “Don’t worry…I won’t do anything…” Alexander grabbed her body and pressed her up against him.

“Ah…Mr.…Hamilton!” Mary tried to push away but Alexander looked down at her face and smiled, “Sexual harassment!”

Alexander smiled and pressed her up against the wall, “How can it be sexual harassment…we’re married…” He looked at her scared eyes and left an inch of space between them, “Are you afraid that I’ll do something that you won’t like? Or will you like it and you’re afraid of that?” He maneuvered himself between her legs and looked into her eyes, “Don’t be afraid.”

Mary didn’t know what to think, her body was screaming yes but her brain was telling her no. What should she listen to?

He looked at her pink little lips and gave them a soft kiss; Mary had no idea what to do but kiss back. At first it was soft little kisses and then it got rougher and she wrapped her legs around Alexander’s waist as he pressed her up against the wall.

Chapter Six

Mary didn’t know what to say or do but kiss him harder and harder, he picked her up and walked her over to the bed. Laying her down lightly and continuing to kiss her, that’s when Mary came to her senses and pushed him away, “I can’t do this.” Mary rolled off the bed and ran into her room and shutting the door. She slumped to the ground and looked up at the ceiling, “What was I thinking?”

Alexander laid on his bed and looked up at the ceiling, “What am I doing?” He got up and angrily took off his towel and put on his boxers. He punched the wall and fell onto the ground, “Idiot…”

Mary looked at the clock and sighed, it read two o’clock and she still wasn’t asleep. She opened her door and scanned the hallway, no one in sight. She used stealth to get down the stairs and running quickly to the living room and jumping on the couch. “TV!” She said in a whisper as she turned on the television.

Alexander walked down the stairs and turned on the kitchen lights, making his usual coffee and looking at his watch, “Five in the morning…” He sighed and started to walk out the front door to grab the paper when he noticed that the TV was on and there was a person who was lost in the pillows. He took off the pillows and saw that Mary was holding the remote in her right hand and drooling on the couch; he smiled and grabbed the remote out of her hand.

“No…Arron…don’t put the dog in the toaster…” She mumbled as she smacked her lips, “The banana doesn’t need to be fried!”

Alexander shook his head and picked her up off the couch, “You’re a strange girl Mary…” He walked up the stairs and placed her in her bed, pulling up the blankets, “Have a nice sleep.” He kissed her forehead and closed the door. He walked down the stairs and opened the gates for the body guards to come in, “Make sure she doesn’t leave the house.” The body guards nodded and Alexander took his Porsche to the office but he couldn’t get his mind off Mary, who was he going to have for a secretary now?

Mary got up and yawned, how did she end up in her bed? She shrugged and walked into the bathroom, freshening up and changing into regular clothes. When she walked down the stairs she noticed that the body guards were sitting on the couch watching TV; she grabbed a juice out of the fridge, “Hey guys…what’s on the schedule today?”

“I don’t know…you could check out the mansion if you want? I bet you haven’t had enough time to do that…?” Robert said, not leaving his eyes off the television, “So many channels…”

She realized it was easier than she thought to get away from them…she walked up the stairs and snuck into Alexander’s room and opened his large walk in closet, “All he has is suits…there are like no normal clothes in here!” She grinned when she noticed his wall of all his keys, she grabbed a random one and ran into her room, grabbing her new purse with some cash and a the credit card Alexander gave her, she looked out her window and walked onto the roof. She had done these kinds of things all the time when she was with Arron because she snuck into his house.

She noticed the tree and climbed down it and jumping to the bottom, she looked around to see if anyone was watching her and ran around the back yard, and sneaking into the garage. She looked at the keys and realized she grabbed his Ferrari, “Mon Dieu!” She made sure that the gate was open before she peeled out of his garage and yelled in excitement, “That’s what I’m talking about!”

The body guards looked at each other, “Mrs. Hamilton?” They yelled as they searched the whole house and realized her window was open and so was the garage, “Mr. Hamilton…will have our heads!”

Mary realized it’d probably be too conspicuous if she drove around in his Ferrari and noticed that some guys were checking her out while she was driving. She showed them her ring finger and laughed; she finally arrived at her other house and opened the garage with a garage opener. She noticed that the neighbors were looking at her funny while she parked the Ferrari in the left free spot in the garage and walked into the house. She smiled at looked around the kitchen, remembering her grandparents cooking pastries for her.

She felt her phone ring and picked it up, “Hello?”

“Where are you?” An angry voice said, “Didn’t I tell you to not leave the house? And you took my one point five million dollar Ferrari!”

“Oh…about that…I just…went two hundred miles per hour…and crashed it…” Mary said with a fake sad voice as she shut the garage.

“You what?! I had that custom made! Wait…what was that sound? You’re not at the house then where the hell are you?” Alexander said in an angry voice, causing the new secretary, Mark, to clutch onto the clipboard he was holding.

“Mon Dieu! Take a joke, Mr. Uptight. I’m at my house…I’m about to go chill with some old friends.” She said as she checked the alarm system on the house and ran her fingers over the couch, “Est-ce que ça vous fait mal?” (Does it hurt)

“C’est ça! (That’s right!) Qu’est-ce que tu en penses? (What do you think?)” Alexander yelled, “That car is my baby!”

“Good, because you’ll never find me.” Mary said as she ran up the stairs and looked around the rooms, she opened the master bedroom and noticed a couple in the bed naked. “What the hell? Who the fuck are you guys?”

The woman pulled up the sheets and the man gave a shocked look at Mary, “What do you mean?” He said in a nervous voice, “This is my house!”

“Mary what’s happening?” Alexander said in a concerned voice, “Who are you with?”

“You son of a bitch, this house is in my name, so who the fuck are you before I call the fucking cops!”

The woman gave him a shocked look, “I thought this was your house Dean! And the Viper in the garage isn’t yours?”

“Mary!” Alexander yelled, “Talk to me!”

“I’ll call you back honey, I have to take out my gun and shoot this couple.” Mary said as she shut her phone and glared at them, “Cousin Dean…you do know I have friends in high places don’t you?” She dialed 911 and heard the operator, “Yes, I have some people who broke into my house and are trying to steal my car, would you please come here quick?”

“Mary please don’t do this!” Dean dropped to his knees and gave her the puppy dog eyes, “Please…”

“Fine…” She mumbled, “Never mind Miss, false alarm, I found out the idiot was my cousin who some how stole my keys.” Mary put her phone back in her purse and glared at him.

The woman finally got all of her clothes on and grabbed her purse, “I’m sorry I didn’t know that this was your house! Please don’t do anything to me!” She said to Mary and then glaring at Dean, “I thought you were an FBI agent who was loaded…liar!” She stomped down the stairs and Mary heard the front door slam.

“You better not have messed up my car or I’ll kill you, and I mean literally.” She pulled him up by his ear and glared at him.

“I don’t even have the keys to the Viper! I still have my crappy run down Honda out in the front, I picked up that chick in a bar last night…” Dean said with a red face.

“You owe me a new bed,” she pointed to the bed, “I can’t believe you have the nerve to break into my house and have intercourse with a woman in my bed, Mon Dieu!” She dragged him downstairs and glared at him, “How did you find out about this place Dean?”

“Well…since our grandparents died…I thought you wouldn’t be using this house so I sort of picked the lock and have been picking up chicks…” Mary rolled her eyes and opened the garage door, “If my Viper is messed up…” She walked into the garage and looked up and down the blue and white stripes.

Dean ran after her, “I promised I didn’t touch the Viper! I don’t have the—“ He noticed the Ferrari in the garage, “Is that yours?” He ran over to it and looked at the bright red paint and ran his fingers up all over it.

“It’s not mine, it’s my husband’s, I stole it from him and ran out of the house. I was on the phone with him when I walked in on you two.” She glared at him, “Hands off, that thing is one point five million dollars, custom made for him.”

“Are you serious! Who is your husband because he must have some serious cash!” Dean said as he stared at the car, “Can I drive it? Wait…how do you have a husband you’re only sixteen!”

“You can’t drive it, he’s mad at me enough for taking it…and it was an arranged marriage between him and I.” She pulled him away from the Ferrari and put him in the kitchen, “What have you been doing with your life? It obviously looks like you don’t have a job or else you wouldn’t have taken refuge here. How old are you now? Twenty three?”

“Twenty four…” He sighed and sat down on a stool, and poured himself a glass of whiskey, “Mary…you’re not even going to use this house, why can’t you let me use it?”

“Are you going to pay the bills? Are you going to trash the house and mess up my Viper?” Mary said taking the glass away from him and pouring it in the sink, “You’re always wasted and aren’t even employed, why should I let you use the house?”

“Because your cousin is in need…and I promise I’ll get a job…I mean I didn’t finish college because I couldn’t keep up my grades and a job at the same time.” Dean said trying to pour himself another glass but Mary grabbed the bottle of whiskey away from him.

“You didn’t pass college because you were too busy thinking about getting the next girl and getting wasted, so don’t lie to me.” Mary said as she put the whiskey back into the alcohol cabinet.

“It’s hard to keep a job…no one wants a fool like me!” Dean said as he threw himself onto the couch.

“It’s hard to keep a job for you because you choose not to have a job and I bet you show up late and hung over all the time.” Mary moved his feet and sat at the end of the couch, “I just wish you were more committed…” Mary finally got an idea, “I’ll give you a month in this house and I’ll be living with you for about a week of it and that week that I’m there you better have a job that helps pay the bills. If you don’t have a reliable job that pays for all of the bills in a month…I’m selling the house.”

“Mary! You know it’s going to take forever to find a job like that…I’m…okay.” He sighed and got up, “I’m going to shower and start looking for jobs.”

Mary smiled and put her feet on the coffee table, “Job well done Mary…job well done…” She wanted to be able to give back Alexander’s Ferrari without him flipping out…how was she going to do this?

She flipped open her phone and dialed Arron’s number, “Hey, do you think you could fly down to Chicago?”

“I’m already there.” Arron smiled, “Are you at your grandparent’s house? Because if you are I’m outside!”

Mary jumped out of the couch and ran to open the door, she shut her phone and embraced Arron in a hug, “I can’t believe you’re here!”

“Of course I’m here, it’s the weekend…school’s boring…I have a very large trust fund…” Arron said in a half laugh, dropping his bags, “Plus, I missed you!”

Mary looked at him and grinned, she was finally happy, “How’d you get here?”

“Taxi…it was expensive but it was worth it!” He hugged her and walked into the house, “I can’t believe it…it’s been a while since I’ve been in this house!”

“Arron!” Dean said as he ran down the stairs and tackled him to the ground, “It’s been ages man!” He helped Arron off the ground and laughed, “What are you doing here?”

“Mary asked me to come, so what do you guys want to do?” Arron looked at the both of them and shut the front door, locking it just in case.

“How about…Dean goes and looks for a job and you can help me go find something fun to do?” Mary said as she shooed Dean back up the stairs, “Go find a job!”

“Fine…” Dean stomped up the stairs, “I’ll see you later Arron.”

Mary grabbed Arron’s arm and showed him the garage, “Look!” Arron’s eyes popped out of his skull and he was speechless. “Let’s go for a ride!” She opened the garage door and unlocked the doors, “Come on!” She revved up the engine and Arron got inside and felt the black interior and the cream leather seats.

“This car is Alexander Hamilton’s isn’t it?”

Mary nodded, “He’s pissed that I took it.” She drove out of the garage and closed the door, “Don’t tell him.”

After about an hour of driving she drove back to the house and grinned, “That was fun!” Arron yelled, “Let’s do it again!”

Mary shook her head, and opened the other garage door, “Take the Viper, we have to go to Alexander’s house and I have some how sneak the Ferrari back into his personal garage.” She tossed him the keys to the Viper and he grinned widely and hopped out of the car.

She looked at Alexander’s mansion in front of her and thought about what she should do, “Well, open the gate Mary!” She mumbled to herself as she punched in the numbers, at least the body guards were stupid enough to go looking around town.

She drove into the property and then into the garage, parking at the same spot she saw before and hopped out of the garage. She ran into the house and up the stairs, putting his keys where she saw them and back down the stairs. She bent on her knees and took a breath before she sprinted back out of the house and rammed into someone’s chest. She looked up and saw a blonde haired green eyed man, “Alexander!” She laughed nervously, “I thought you were in China!” She tried to move the other way but Alexander stood in front of her.

Chapter Seven

“Where exactly do you think you’re going?” Alexander said in a strict tone. Mary laughed and dove under his legs and tried to sprint down the driveway but Alexander grabbed her arms, “You’re not going anywhere.”

Mary tried to break free, “Yes I am!” She sunk down and sprinted as fast as she could to the Viper, “Catch me if you can!” She jumped into the driver’s seat of the Viper and sped off; yelling and screaming. She felt her phone ring, and picked it up, “Bonjour!”

“Come back here Mary…or I’ll find you and you won’t like it when I find you.” Alexander said in a stern voice.

Mary laughed into the phone, “Catch me baby because I’ll be ready.” She kissed the phone and hung up, glancing over at a very scared Arron, “What?”

The phone rang again and she picked up, “Kon bon wa?”

“Mary, get back here…and not with my car? Where the hell did you get a Viper?” Alexander said sitting back in his Porsche and putting in his keys.

“Comme je l’ai dit…” She looked at Arron’s confused face, “Like I said…my grandparents left two cars to me.”

“In Chicago? Out of all places?”

“Yes, isn’t that exciting?” Mary laughed, “Au revoir!” She hung up the phone and giggled.

“Mary…don’t you think you’re taking this too far? What is he going to do when he finds you?”

Mary shrugged, “What can he do? I mean he forced me into a marriage where I’m not happy…he forced me to go to work with him one day…he pretty much forces me to do anything he wants me to do.” She pulled into a restaurant and got out of the car, “Don’t worry about it Arron, he’ll find me eventually and it’ll be alright!”

Arron opened the restaurant door for her and she smiled at him, she looked at the man behind the podum and walked out the door and back in, “I’m pretty sure this restaurant doesn’t read En Plein Air.” Mary said to the French man, “I’m guessing your boss fired you?”

Arron gave her an odd look, “You know this man?”

“My boss iz unfair; à cause de tu.” The French man said, expecting Mary not know what he said.

“Moi? Comme c’est triste!” Mary said, looking at the manager behind Louis.

“Louis are you just going to stand there and insult the lady or get her a table?” The manager said towering over him.

“Oui, oui, come this way please.” He glared at Mary the whole time and placed two menu’s on the table, “Tu vas me le payer!”

Mary raised her eyebrow at the French man, “Ok, si vous le dites.” He scoffed and walked away with his head held high.

Arron looked at her, “What’d you say to him…what’d he say to you?”

“He said it was my fault for getting him fired and I said ‘me’? Then I said that is too sad and when we were at the table he said that he was going to make me pay. That’s when I said okay, whatever.” Mary smiled and looked at the menu, scanning for something decent to eat.

“I wish I could speak another language, that’s so unfair.” He flipped open his menu and looked up and down the menu.

The waitress looked at the table with the cute boy and walked up to them, “Hi, my name is Christina or Chrissy for short, what can I get you guys to drink?”

Mary looked up and rolled her eyes, she couldn’t believe there were so many women named Christina! “Two sweet teas.” Arron said, his eyes not leaving the menu.

The waitress looked over at Mary with a disgusted look and back at Arron, “Any appetizers?”

“No thank you.” Arron said, smiling at Mary. She smiled back and glared up at the waitress.

She walked away with her big bust high in the air, “She was checking you out like no other, she acted like I wasn’t even there.” Mary said leaning back in her seat.

“I know, that’s why I ignored her. I didn’t come to Chicago looking for some action.” Arron rolled his eyes, “Plus, I can get better.”

The waitress came back with the drinks and made sure that her bust was almost close enough to touch his face as she was putting down the drinks. When she put down Mary’s drink it spilled everywhere and she giggled, “Oops, I’m sorry!” She grabbed a cloth out of her apron pocket and started to wipe the table in a seductive way.

Mary looked up at the waitress, “If you want to fuck him just say so damn, I don’t care. You just have to let him get into your pants because he’s picky.” Mary said with a smile.

The waitress ignored her remark, “What can I get you guys to eat today?” Mary pointed to a steak with some other vegetables that she didn’t really care about and Arron said that he’d have the same thing, “Alright, your order will be up soon!” She licked her top lip and pranced off.

They spent about an hour in the restaurant and Arron paid cash because he didn’t want Mary to use her card, he made sure to give her a ten cent tip. Mary laughed so hard that she was just about to fall out of the booth, “You shouldn’t have done that, that’s mean!” She said as she got into the driver’s seat of the Viper.

“She was asking for it, I mean she had a great chest area but her chest didn’t cover up her ugly face.” Arron laughed as he put on his seat belt, “I miss this, you know…us just hanging out.”

“Me too…how long are you staying?” Mary said sadly, “I wish you weren’t like fifteen hours away from me.”

“I’m only staying for the weekend, and don’t speak so sadly…I’m here now aren’t I?” Arron held onto her hand, “I’ll always be here for you even if you think no one else is.”

Mary smiled as she pulled into the garage and got out, “Thanks Arron, for being here.” He got out and closed the door; she locked the Viper and closed the garage, “I think my grandparents had seasons one to three of House. Want to watch it?”

Arron ran into the house, “Hell yeah! I love that show!” He planted himself on the couch and waited for Mary to put it in, “Hurry up!”

Mary smiled and chased after him, “I’m slow, sorry mister quarter back!”

They sat there for hours watching House until the front door opened and Dean walked in with a glum face, “Mary…I’ve been out all day…and…”

“And?” She said sitting up in the couch, “Did you find a job?”

“And I found a great job at an expensive restaurant! It’s called En Plein Air, have you heard of it?”

Mary rolled her eyes, “Yes, I’ve heard of that restaurant, I hope it works well for you.” Dean put his suit jacket over the stool and sat on the left side of the couch, leaving Mary in the middle, “What are you guys watching?”

“It’s a medical show…has this man named Gregory House in it…I don’t know…” Arron said, his eyes not leaving the television, “stop talking…I’m trying to watch…”

Mary felt her phone vibrate and she picked it up, “Bonjour?”

“Are you finished trying to run away, because I’m in China and I’d much appreciate it if I knew where you are.” Alexander said sitting in his office in China, “Please?”

“I’m watching House…that’s the first step to knowing what I’m doing.” Mary said as she got off the couch, “Why are you so curious about where I am?”

“Because…” Alexander said, trying to think of something to say, “You should be sitting at home waiting for me to come home?”

“Why should I do that? Do you think just because I’m sixteen and in Chicago does not mean that I don’t have a way of getting around.” Mary said as she watched the TV.

“Alright, when I get back you’re in trouble, you know that right?” Alexander said as he saw Kristina walk in.

“Treat me like a six year old and I’ll make sure I’ll kill myself before I see you again.” Mary stated as she rummaged around the kitchen for a cup.

Alexander had a few seconds of silence because he couldn’t believe Kristina was standing in front of him, “If you do that I’ll never forgive you honey, I love you and don’t ever say that you’ll do such a thing.”

Mary did a gagging noise, “Oh honey that’s soooooo nice, please don’t choke me with nice words. Ja ne, I hate you!”

“Wait don’t—“ Alexander looked down at his PDA and sighed, “What are you doing here Kristina? Didn’t I tell you to not contact me anymore?” He said as he leaned back in his leather chair.

Kristina’s long legs walked over to the right side of his chair and as she flipped her brown hair, “Oh honey, don’t be like that…this time I won’t do anything to hurt you, I promise.” She turned his leather chair around and stared at his green eyes with her blue eyes.

“Sorry Kristina but I’m taken, and for good this time.” He showed her his ring finger, “Please get out before security has to be called.”

She put her right leg on his arm rest and looked at him in the eyes, “There is no way that this girl knows how to pleasure you better than I can, because there is no way she can beat a real woman.”

Mary looked down at her phone and felt as though something wasn’t right; she opened it and dialed his number.

Kristina heard his phone vibrate and attempted to get it out of his hands but he maneuvered it away from her, “Bonjour?”

“You’re there with another woman.” Mary stated, “I don’t like it, have you told her you’re married?”

“Je ne sais pas quoi faire!” Alexander said as he pushed her right foot off his arm rest.

“What do you mean you don’t know what to do? Tell her to get the fuck out of your office…wait…I know who it is…it’s Kristina isn’t it?”

Alexander looked down at his PDA in shock, “Are you a psychic?”

“I have good instincts and I know when someone is trying to take something away from me.” Mary smiled and took off her shoes, “Listen to me, if you are unfaithful…I’ll hate you even more than I do now!” She said in a sing song voice as Alexander smiled.

“I love you, you know that right? Je ne peux pas m’en empêcher mais être amoureux de tu.”

“I don’t think that you love me and I honestly don’t know why you can’t help but love me…freak. Good bye.” She mumbled as she was about to hang up the phone, “if you even dare…”

“I won’t!” Alexander chuckled, “I promise.” Mary smiled and hung up the phone, sitting back down at her spot in the couch.

Kristina gave him an unbelievable look, “You like this new girl? How come I’ve never heard of her…and you’re married too? When did this happen?”

“You’ve never heard of it because I did all of this in private, and it’s none of your business to interfere with my personal life.” Alexander pressed a button on his phone, “Mark, would you please escort this hideous animal out of my office.”

Mark walked into the office and looked at the woman, “Where’s the hideous animal?”

Alexander looked at Kristina, “Don’t call me that, I can escort myself out, thank you.” She started to walk out of the office but stopped and turned around, “When she gives you a bore, please come and give me a call, you have my number.”

“Actually I don’t have your number anymore, my wife deleted it.” Alexander gave her a cocky smile and Mark shoved her out.

Mary looked at the clock and realized it read twelve in the morning, “We’ve been watching this for like…five hours!”

“Let me just finish this episode…” Arron said as he continued to glue his eyes to the TV.

Mary shook her head and grabbed Arron’s bags and brought them up the stairs to the other guest room, she put down his luggage and looked at the floral patterns of the room. She went further up the stairs and looked at the master bedroom; there was no way in hell she as going to sleep in that bed. She walked down the hallway and opened the other guest room and smiled, it was the room she’d always slept in when she stayed at her grandparents house.

Mary took off her t-shirt and jeans and found some shorts in the drawer; putting it on and a tank top. She slid into the bed and fell asleep instantly.

Arron walked into her guest room, “Mary…are you awake?” When he got no response he walked over to her bed and looked at her, “I guess not…” He mumbled as he placed a kiss on her forehead and walking slowly out the door and into his guest room.

Mary woke up and tried to turn around and look at the clock but she felt something pressed up against her, she looked up at a blonde haired man, “Alexander!” She shrieked and fell out of the bed, “What are you doing here?”

Chapter Eight

He sat up and groggily rubbed his eyes, “Good morning honey.”

Arron rushed up the stairs and opened the door, “What’s the matter Mary?” He looked at the bed and then at the ground where Mary was seated.

“He found me…” Mary screamed and felt someone shaking her; she opened her eyes and saw Arron towering over her.

“You were having a nightmare Mary…what were you dreaming about?”

“I had a dream that Alexander found me and he was sleeping next to me in the bed…it was scary.” Mary sat up in the bed and looked at a half naked Arron.

“I’d be frightened if my husband found me to…but then again…I wouldn’t have a husband…” He mumbled, “You want some hot cocoa to help you go to sleep?” Mary nodded and minutes later Arron came up with two cups of steaming cocoa, “I was already making some because I couldn’t sleep.”

Mary smiled at the marshmallows and his thoughtfulness, “Thanks Arron, it’s exactly what I needed.” She took a sip of the cocoa and picked out a marshmallow, “You better visit a lot, okay?”

“Duh, why wouldn’t I?” He stuck out his tongue, “Frequent flyer miles might help…”

Mary looked down at her cell phone and noticed it was vibrating, “Who would be calling at this time?” She picked it up, “s’endormir!” (go to sleep)

“So you’re up, I figured because you’re a strange girl like that.” Alexander said as he looked out of his office, “So what are you doing up so late?”

“Well I guess you can’t go to sleep because there’s still sun out in China…” Mary mumbled and Arron looked at her funny.

“It’s Alexander isn’t it?” Arron said as he took a big gulp of his cocoa.

“Who are you talking to? It sounds like a man! Look who’s being unfaithful?”

Mary scoffed, “It is Arron if you must know, goodness, and he woke me up from a nightmare I was having about YOU!”

Alexander laughed, “A nightmare about me? Please, I’m only in people’s minds because they’re having too much pleasure about thinking about me.”

Mary hung up the phone and devoured her cocoa, “He’s such a jerk, I have to tell you that.”

Arron took the cup from her and smiled, “I put sleeping pills in that, it should help you.”

“Why on Earth did you—“ She fell back onto the bed and Arron smiled.

“Because you worry too much.” He moved her around so that she was lying properly and put the blanket over her, “Sleep tight!”

Mary turned around to look at her clock, “Twelve in the afternoon…geez…I must have been knocked out…” She sat up and yawned, “Good night’s sleep though!” She walked down the stairs and saw that there were plates with pancakes and bacon on it and three glasses of orange juice?

“Good morning sleeping beauty, took you forever to get up. We’ve been waiting for hours!” Dean said as he got off the couch and sat on the table, “Arron slaved over the hot stove for you, that’s a house wife for you.”

The day went by quickly and soon it was twelve in the morning again and they were all tired, Dean had gone to work and he was so excited that he got more than five hundred dollars in tips that he took them all out to eat. Sadly, it was at the same restaurant with Louis and there was the same bickering argument they had before.

Mary felt a hard body pressed up against her and she looked up at it slowly, hoping that it wasn’t Alexander again. The man was half naked and well built with blonde hair! She screamed and fell out of bed, “This has to be a dream…has to be a dream…” She slapped herself a few times and Alexander watched with amusement, “This can’t be real!”

“Oh it’s real honey, I found you and now you’re going to be punished.” Alexander got out of bed and he was only wearing boxers! Mary covered her eyes and tried to find the door but Alexander got down on the ground and grabbed her wrists, “At least I could come home early from the China trip because we settled things quickly…”

Mary shrieked again, “Get away from me you rodent!”

Arron opened the door, “What are you yelling about—“ He saw Alexander, “this time…so this isn’t a nightmare I’m having either is it?”

“Please tell me this isn’t real…when I open my eyes he’ll be gone right?” She shut her eyes and counted to ten, and opened them again, “He’s real!” She began to sob, “he’s real…”

Arron got on the ground and pulled her away from him, “Look what you did, you made her cry…”

“I didn’t do it on purpose…” Alexander said sadly, “Mary…don’t cry…”

Mary looked up at Arron and winked at him, turning back around at Alexander, “I got you good!” She laughed and ran down the stairs.

Alexander caught her before she could go to the garage, “You’re not getting away from me again…”

Mary pried his fingers off her and looked at Arron, “I’m leaving right now Mary…I hope you’ll be okay with Mister Snob.”

Mary nodded and ran up to Arron, “Sorry this happened…” She mumbled, “Visit again okay?” She gave him a long hug and Arron hugged back.

“Of course I’ll visit, you’re my best friend remember?” Arron kissed her forehead and grabbed his bags; walking outside to the taxi, “Behave you two!”

Mary watched him walk away and she felt a tear run down her cheek, before Alexander could see she wiped it away. “Bye Arron!” She yelled, “Don’t get an STD any time soon!”

“Quand nous arrivons chez nous…” Alexander started to say but Mary cut him off.

“What will happen when we get back to your house? Because I don’t consider it as my home at all, it’s a prison where I’m forced to stay.” Mary stomped up the stairs and slammed the bedroom door; angrily taking off her sleeping clothes and started to put on jeans when Alexander walked in.

“Mary, it’s—“ He stared at her, “Whoa…”

Mary quickly put on a shirt and grabbed her purse, “Get your clothes on, and let’s go.”

For the next two weeks Alexander went to work early in the morning and arrived home late at night, so late that Mary was already asleep and so early that Mary was still asleep. They haven’t had an actual conversation since the car ride back to his house from her house and she’s refused to see him that whole time.

Alexander looked down at her sleeping figure and sighed, she was such a peaceful sleeper but such an angry person when she was awake! He kissed her forehead and walked into his room, stripping himself of his clothes and stepping into the shower. He had no idea what he was suppose to do about Mary; he didn’t want her to hate him forever but she could sure hold a grudge.

When he walked out he saw Mary sitting at the edge of his bed, “May I ask the special occasion for your presence?” She just sat there and stared at him, “Mary? Are you even going to talk to me?” She continued to stare, it wasn’t like the last time she saw him in a towel, it was just a blank stare. “Are you sleep walking?” Alexander waved his hand in front of her face and poked her shoulder.

Mary grinned, “I got you!” She busted into a loud laugh and rolled around on his bed, then she stopped and stretched her arms out, “Your bed is comfy…”

“You’re so strange sometimes…” He said, “So what are you doing up at two in the morning?”

Mary sat up and looked at him, “The question is, what you have been doing coming home at two in the morning for the past two weeks?”

“I have a job and I work, plus remember the last time you were with me? We didn’t come home until late. I have to fly all over the country all the time.” He took off his towel and Mary stared at his manhood with wide eyes, “You like?”

She covered her eyes and shook her head, “Put on some clothes!”

Alexander laughed and shut his door, “Mary there’s no need to be shy…we are married remember?” He walked over to her and pulled her hands off her eyes, “I mean…you’re a woman…I’m a man…we’re married…no laws are being broken…” He winked and pushed her down on the bed, “I’m naked and you’re not! We have to fix that…”

“No, Alexander, don’t! I mean…it’s not right!” Mary said as she tried to move away from him but she felt someone poking her lower womanhood.

Alexander just smiled and whispered in her ear, “I’ll be gentle.” He pulled off her shirt and Mary tried to crawl away but he pulled off her shorts when she did. She tried to cover herself up but Alexander pressed his body up against hers, “Don’t be afraid…” With a quick hand motion he unhooked her red bra and threw it on the other side of the room.

She tried to cover up her breasts, but Alexander grabbed both of her hands and looked down at the beauties, “Alexander…can’t we not do this?”

This time Alexander didn’t say anything, he just grabbed her red underwear slipped it off. He placed a soft kiss on her lips and whispered in her ear that everything was going to be alright; Mary relaxed herself as Alexander slipped one finger inside of her. She grabbed onto his shoulders and yelped, “You’re tight…”

Mary held her breath as Alexander slipped another finger inside of her and moved slowly in and out, “Alexander…I don’t think…” She moaned as he rubbed her clit slowly, “It’s not…” Alexander crashed his lips against hers and started to finger her faster; she grabbed his shoulders and arched her back as she felt her climax about to come.

“Not yet…” He murmured, he grabbed his manhood and slowly slid the tip in, “It’ll be alright Mary…” He kissed her softly and slowly pushed in.

Mary dug her nails into his back as he inched himself into her, she moved her head to the side and screamed in pleasure, “Alexander!”

“Mary…” He groaned, grabbing her thighs and looking at her beautiful body. He pushed himself all in and let out a moan as he slowly pulled out and in. Mary squeezed onto his broad shoulders as he moved faster and faster. This was a feeling Mary had never felt before, it was mixed with pleasure and pain, but felt a strange sense of euphoria.

Soon, he grabbed onto Mary’s bottom and gave it all he got, ramming his manhood into her and climaxing together. Alexander pulled it out and Mary laid on the bed, trying to catch her breath. Alexander kissed her lips softly, “I love you.”

Mary smiled as she crawled under the covers and quickly fell asleep on the feather pillows and feather blanket. Alexander grinned and crawled under the covers with Mary, draping his arms around her and holding her close.

Alexander heard his alarm go off and slammed down on the snooze button; he groaned and looked down at his sleeping beauty. Mary’s hand ran up his chest and she slowly fluttered her eyes open; looking up at his bright green eyes she realized what she had done.

She jumped out of bed and tried to cover herself up, “Last night…I…was drunk!” She ran out of his bedroom and into her room, she went in the closet and put on some clothes.

Moments later Alexander walked in and leaned himself against the frame of her closet door, “You weren’t drunk, because I didn’t taste it on your breath. Are you ashamed because you enjoyed our love making?”

“I didn’t enjoy it, you forced me you freak.” Mary mumbled as she tried to push past him in the closet but he blocked her way, “Come on…none of this awkward talk please…don’t you have to go to work?”

Alexander raised his eyebrows and looked down at her, “Are you seriously going to pretend that last night never happened?”

“Isn’t that what you do with all of the girls you have sex with? Why am I any different?” Mary challenged him, looking up at his face.

“It’s different because, you’re my wife…and we’re committed.” He put his hands on her shoulders and Mary shrugged it off, “Mary…I don’t want this to be strange…we’re married…it’s perfectly fine to have relations in bed…”

Mary hit his arm, “No it’s not fine! Because I don’t love you and you suck and I hate you and it’s not nice to do this and you don’t love me! You just have to say that you do so that you can convince yourself that you think you love me!” She hit him again and ran into the bathroom.

Alexander hit on the door, “Mary, I don’t understand what you’re trying to say!”

Mary opened the door and glared at him, “I hate you. Leave me alone.”

Alexander pushed open the door and grabbed her face, “You don’t hate me, don’t lie to yourself.” He forced a kiss on her and tried to get his tongue down her throat but she pushed him away and wiped her mouth.

She gave him a look of disgust, “You don’t know me, don’t act like one little sweet word from Mister rich boy would actually care for someone else’s feelings. Don’t kid yourself because unlike every one else, I see through your evil schemes.” Mary pushed him away from her and ran down the stairs and out onto the backyard. She felt her feet become wet from the morning dew and the sky still dark; she hadn’t realized how early it was.

She continued to walk out onto the wet grass and look up at the shining stars, “My life has been degraded to being a consort of a rich snob.” She kicked the wet grass with her bare feet, “He actually believes he owns me, just because of the fact that we’re married…”

Chapter Nine

Alexander stared at her walking slowly around the vast backyard; he wondered what she had going through her head. He made the biggest mistake of taking it to the next level…he shouldn’t have made her go through something that her heart wasn’t able to comprehend. He didn’t know what he was going to say to her…but this was the first time he felt guilty for having sex.

Maybe she was right…maybe he only said those things to her that night because of how badly he wanted to have a woman next to him. Maybe he’s not use to the idea of being alone so he said whatever he could so that he could convince her body that she needed him.

Mary stared blankly at the ground, why had she subjected herself to do something of such idiocy? “I was too impetuous!” She yelled loudly, “Why am I the bruised fruit of the orchard?”

Alexander looked at her outlandishly, “Stop talking to yourself!”

Mary turned around and glared at Alexander, “Go to work!”

Alexander walked up the stairs and hopped in the shower, “She’s difficult…” He smiled to himself as he lathered in the hot water; he loved the fact that she had absolutely no interest in him. Maybe that is an attractive feature in a woman…but he didn’t like the fact that she didn’t like him at all.

Mary jumped in the shower and took a quick five minute one, “I have to get that disgusting feeling of him touching me off!” She dressed in comfortable jean shorts and a tank top, she slipped on her knee high converse.

Alexander walked into her room and looked at her funny, “Where do you think you’re going? Why don’t you go and change into some nice clothes that I filled your closet with? I’m taking you to work with me again.”

Mary stuck her tongue out at Alexander and grabbed her messenger bag, “Hell to the no.” She grabbed the keys to her Viper and walked to the door where Alexander was planted, “Please move.”

“Where exactly do you think you’re going?” Alexander said as he sipped his coffee.

“I’m going to get breakfast, if I have to be following you to work then please let me eat.” She pushed past him but he grabbed her arm.

“I don’t think so!” Alexander said as he gulped the rest of his coffee, “We’re going to Florida; I have a large company there where I’m going to take a look at the factories and see how everything is going.”

“Good, Florida is where my beach house is located.” Mary shoved the keys in her messenger bag and glared at him, “Let’s go then.”

Alexander dug the keys out her bag and winked at her, “I want to see how fast it goes.”

Mary grabbed the keys out of his hands and glared at him, “No one touches my car, and I’ll drive.”

Alexander grabbed his briefcase and followed Mary as she ran out of the room and jumping into her car excitedly. “Wait, please abide to the speed limit…I’m frightened impetuous Mary…”

“Thanks for calling me that, I’ll make sure to not listen to you.” Mary grinned as she peeling out of the house and driving straight towards the airstrip at a hundred miles per hour. She came to a screeching halt and Alexander stared ahead of him with fear, “I’m a good driver huh?”

“Never again, next time I’m driving.” Alexander said as he got out of the car and wobbly walked to the jet, “I’m surprised we didn’t die…”

Mary ran up to him and grinned, “I still have many more things you have to experience…one of them being my wrath.” She laughed and evil laugh and ran up the stairs to the jet and then walked back out and laughed in his face. She stretched out on the creamy leathered plane seats and took out her book.

“Well, when we’re in the factory…I suggest that you behave…” Alexander said as he sat next to her, “Please, for me, don’t do this to me…I have a reputation to uphold…”

Mary ignored his words and frowned at him, “I’m hungry Snobby, will you grant me some food or will I have to drop to your feet and shine your shoes?”

Alexander sighed and walked into the back, “Could I have some coffee and breakfast?” The flight attendant nodded and Alexander walked back to the dying child, “There, are you happy? Will you please behave? I’ll give you anything you want…to an extent.”

Mary sat up and grinned, “I want you to take a week of vacation…and take me to…Paris.”

Alexander scoffed and looked up at the ceiling and back at Mary, “Alright, but that means you behave for me…at least for a while…”

“Alright, pinky promises?” Mary stuck out her pinky finger and wiggled it around, “If you don’t keep your promise I’m going to chop off your…hair.”

“No, you can’t do that; my hair is my money maker!” Alexander chuckled as Mark ran up the stairs and got onto his knees.

Mary looked down at him like he crazy, “I’m sorry boss! I accidently slept in a few minutes late!”

Mary laughed, “You’re not in the mafia, and you don’t call him boss. You call him Mr. Hamilton…you freak.” Mary looked at Alexander, “He’s your new secretary? I like him, he’s an idiot.”

Mark looked up at her, “Excuse me miss but I don’t like being talked down to, and I’ve been on this job for about a month now.”

Mary laughed and looked at Alexander, “You’re not going to say anything? Or should I and we’ll have another incident where I shoot someone in the head?”

Alexander motioned him to stand up, “This very kind lady here is my wife, and I suggest you don’t say anything bad about her because she knows martial arts. She’ll make your life a living hell also and there’s a guarantee that you’ll get fired.”

Mark’s face turned bright red, “I’m sorry Mrs. Hamilton and Mr. Hamilton…I didn’t mean to offend you…”

The flight attendant came out with a cup of coffee and another flight attendant came out with her breakfast, “The all American breakfast…pancakes and eggs with a side of bacon.” Mary dug into the breakfast as Mark started to hand Alexander papers to look at, “I don’t like him, he’s too handsome.”

Alexander looked at her funny, “Are you talking about my secretary?”

Mary nodded and Mark looked at her with his bright blue eyes, “Thank you Mrs. Hamilton but I don’t think that means I shouldn’t have this job…”

Mary shrugged and finished her breakfast, “So? What college did you graduate from?” The flight attendant came over and cleared the dishes and cup.

Mark laughed and sat next to Alexander, “I graduated from Yale, if you must know.”

“Great school, too bad Alexander doesn’t let me leave the house…so I’m illiterate.” Mary stuck out her tongue and stretched back out on the cream seats, “Go ahead, do your work.”

Alexander glanced down at her funny and continued to smile, “Alright, honey, remember our promise?”

Mary sighed and sat up, “Bien sûr, mon amour.” (Of course, my love.)

“She says she’s illiterate…when she speaks French? I’m confused…” Mark murmured to Alexander, “Okay, with the investigation of your uncle…we’ve discovered that he’s the one that’s been extracting money from the company. We’ve managed to secure the account in Switzerland and found out there was a hundred million dollars stashed away in it.”

“Oh man, that sucks dude, your uncle has been stealing money from the company? Are you going to send his sorry ass to prison?” Mary sat up and looked at the papers they were discussing about.

“Sois sage…”(behave yourself) Alexander said in her ear, “, S’il vous plait…”

“You’re so boring; I’m going to bug the pilots.” She got up and knocked on their doors which they happily opened and looked at her funny, “Hi, my name is Mary what’s yours?”

“Uh, Miss you shouldn’t be bugging us…” The man said in a worried voice, “I don’t know what Mr. Hamilton would say about us talking to you.”

“Honey! The pilot says that I shouldn’t talk to him because he doesn’t know what will happen if he’s found talking to me!” Mary hollered.

Alexander sighed and sat the papers to the side, standing up and walking to Mary, “Don’t bug the pilots…people listening to you talk would probably make their ears bleed anyways.”

Mary glared at him and looked back at the pilot, “See? He doesn’t care at all, he’s just being moody because his girlfriend called him and asked him to get into her pants.” She whispered loudly to him.

The pilot looked at her wide eyed and Alexander rolled his eyes, “Mary please don’t make up lies to the poor man, he doesn’t want to listen to some girl rant.” Alexander went back to his seat and continued to look at the papers.

Mary groaned, “He’s such a party pooper isn’t he?” Mary walked back over to them and sprawled out on the ground, (So what?) “Et alors? The pilot gets bored but I’m satisfied.”

Alexander looked up at her and sighed, “Mary…go to sleep or something…I have to get this work done.”

Mary lay out on the ground for about two hours before she got up and glared at him, “Je m’ennuie!” (I’m bored!)

“I’m sorry! I can’t do anything about your boredom. Turn on the flat screen and watch something…” Alexander said as he looked back down at the papers.

Mary hopped off the plane and ran around in circles, “Finally!”

Alexander smoothly walked over to her and grabbed her arm, “Remember…how many times do I have to tell you to behave?”

Mary acted innocent and frowned, “Sorry, Mr. Hamilton…” She held onto his hand as he escorted her to the limo and helped her inside.

Alexander and Mark followed behind her and continued to talk about their work and Mary just looked out the window sadly. There was no space for her to have any fun…

Mary felt someone slightly shake her and she opened her eyes, “Come on, we’re here. Please stay close to my side.”

Mary sighed and walked out of the limo and looked at the massive factory, “I’m guessing there are many illegal immigrants stashed away in this factory?”

Alexander sighed and walked into the factory, “Stay close.”

Mary nodded and trailed about ten feet behind him as two people walked up to him to greet him. She walked with them around the factory and looked up at the large machines and the people that glanced up at her and Alexander.

In about ten minutes there was a crowd of people completely surrounding Alexander, when she couldn’t even see his face so she gave up. Mary shrugged and looked at an interesting group of old ladies and walked over to them. “Hello there, what are you guys doing?”

One of the white haired old ladies looked up at her and smiled, “We’re fixing this machine, and it’s an odd thing to see three old ladies crowded around one machine, isn’t it?”

“I don’t understand why women are doing this…shouldn’t there be some fat, butt crack hanging, balding, old man doing this?” Mary said as she looked down at the difficult wiring.

“We’ve been working at this factory longer than anyone…we should be able to reconfigure this without the help of a man.” Another lady said, adjusting her large glasses that took up most of her face.

Mary looked down at the machine, “Here, let me help.” Mary took the screwdriver from them and put it down on the table. She looked at the wiring and quickly put it in the right spots and then quickly screwed the metal panel back on the machine. She grinned and pressed the on button; causing the assembly line to start up again.

Alexander clapped his hands, “Great job, Mary.”

Mary looked up at him and frowned, “That was amazing sweetie! How old are you? I’ve never met any young girl that could fix a machine that fast!” The woman took the screwdriver back from her and gave her a big hug.

The group of people around Alexander gave him a strange look as Mary walked back over to him, “Sorry, I lost sight of you.” Mary mumbled looking down at the ground.

Alexander rolled his eyes and continued to walk around the factory with his “posse” of servants who tried to please him the best as they could while he was there. Mary continued to examine around the factory when she noticed an elderly man try to put a large bag onto a shelf; she ran over there quickly and picked it up for him, “Let me help you.” Mary smiled at the old man and he thanked her as she put the bag onto the top shelf, “Have you ever considered not working? Shouldn’t you be in retirement?”

The old man laughed, “I like to work, and I like to feel useful. Sitting at home and dying slowly as my grandkids watch me sadly.”

Mary smiled and helped him put the rest of the bags on the shelf, “Do you want me to help you get a job in the factory that requires less labor?”

“No, I’d rather die working than die not working.” The old man smiled, “I love how you try and help but I can still do things for myself.”

“What’s your name mister?” Mary asked as she helped him stand up.

“Bob Newhart and yours little miss?” He said as he walked down the assembly lines to grab another cart of heavy bags.

“Mary…Ham…Harwich.” She smiled as she felt her arm being yanked to a side.

She looked up at the six foot five blonde man with vibrant green eyes, “How many times have I told you to stay close? For goodness sakes, you’re like a six year old child who repeatedly runs away.”

Mary groaned and smiled at the old man, “I guess I have to leave now Mr. Newhart, bye-bye.” She waved at him and got dragged away by Alexander.

“I’m going to hold your hand now so you don’t run away, child.” Alexander said in an angry tone, “I swear, I can’t take you anywhere without you wanting to run away from me.”

He held tightly onto her hand as he continued to look at the budget of the factory; then he suddenly stopped and held onto the paper. “What is twenty one thousand dollars being passed off as miscellaneous?”

The bald man rubbed his head and chuckled nervously, “That’s for health care and the dental plan of the factory.” The bald man said in a shaky voice.

Alexander flipped through the papers Mark was holding, “There’s already a budget for the health care and dental plan of the factory; in the past two years it shows that there has been an estimated amount of a hundred thousand dollars being put in miscellaneous.”

Mary grabbed the pile of papers from Mark and flipped through it really fast, “He’s also taken money out of the health care and dental plan of the factory workers and he’s cut the paychecks of the factory workers.”

“How’d you know that from flipping through the papers that fast?” The bald man said with a sweaty face and palms.

“When I was sneaking off I had a little talk with the workers and they said that they can’t get decent healthcare and dental care anymore. I suggest you start talking or else this factory check will turn out to be very…unpleasant.” Mary smirked and looked up at Alexander’s shocked face, “There are so many things you don’t know about me.”

“I…I…can explain…” The bald man said shakily and then looked up at Alexander; then he pushed past the people and began to run away. Mary let go of Alexander’s hand and sprinted after him and tackled him to the ground.

“You can explain in a jail cell.” Mary flipped open her phone and dialed 911, “I need a squad car here to escort this man to jail, because he’s be embezzling money from the Hamilton factory.”

“We’ll get one there as soon as possible.” The operator said.

Mary sat on top of him and felt him try to get free, “Calm down man, you put this on yourself.”

Alexander walked over to her and chuckled, “You’re very mysterious, I should bring you along more often.”

“I would have willingly come along if I knew it’d be this fun to check out factories, but can I leave a note in your suggestion box?” Mary said as the man still tried to get up, “Chill man, you’re getting arrested whether you like it or not.”

“What’s your suggestion?” Alexander said with an interested look along with the rest of the people who were following him.

“More healthcare benefits for everyone with the hundred thousand dollars this man stole and maybe you could afford a repair man for the machinery. Or better yet, you could get new machinery in this factory and my friend Bob Newhart could be the new budgeter.” She motioned Bob to come over to her, “And those three smoking ladies by the assembly line to be his secretaries.”

Alexander chuckled, “Sounds reasonable enough, anything else you would like your majesty?”

“Paris.”

Two cops ran into the factory and looked at Mary sitting on the man, “Is that him?” Mary nodded and got off him; she pulled him up by his collar and threw him at the cops.

“Can we go now? Or are you going to continue to look at the factory?” Mary sighed walking back to him and holding his hand.

“I think we’re done here.”

Chapter Ten

Mary looked at the beach house and took out her keys, “There better not be another cousin in here getting their freak on…” She opened the door and looked around; then ran up the stairs to the master suite and opened the door. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw everything was nice and tidy; she ran back down the stairs and smiled at Alexander, “No one’s naked in my bed!”

Mary spoke too soon when she saw a couple walk into the house and look at them with shock, “Who are you? And what are you doing in my house?”

Mary rolled her eyes, “Are you freaking kidding me? The houses left to me are occupied?” She walked down the rest of the stairs and glared at them, “The question is what you are doing in my house?”

“Your house? This is our home; we have lived here for a year.” The couple said and the woman stared at Alexander with lustful eyes.

Mary took out the deed to the house and shoved it in his face, “My name, my house, so how did you get the key here?”

Alexander sat down on the couch and turned on the TV, uninterested in their conversation because he knew that Mary could handle herself.

The man chuckled as Mary snatched the deed back from him, “I found a key…under the mat in the front door…”

Mary glared at him and walked towards the garage, “If my red Viper is…damaged….I’m going to kill you.”

The woman was uninterested in their conversation also and walked over to Alexander and smiled at him, “Are you Alexander Hamilton…the billionaire?”

Alexander ignored her and scooted himself away from her, “Are you annoying fan girl?”

Mary ran outside to the garage and unlocked it with her key, then turned on her light to see the red and white striped Viper in perfect shape, right beside a red Yamaha bike!

“Sweet, you had these in here the whole time? I thought this was some empty garage!” The man said as he was about to enter the garage but Mary pushed him out of the way and locked the garage door back up. She grabbed his arm and pushed him back into the house to see his girlfriend swooning over Alexander.

She locked the front door and set on the alarm, “If you want him so badly get on him, he doesn’t mind.”

Alexander looked at the blonde girl in disgust and stood up quickly, “I do mind, please forgive my wife, she’s a little upset.” He quickly followed her up the stairs, “Why did you set on the house alarm?”

“To see if it works while they try and get out of the house,” Mary flipped open her phone and dialed 911 when she was in her room; she shut the door when she heard the operator, “Help me! Someone, someone, they, they are trying to, to, k-k-ill me!” Mary said in a desperate voice.

“We’ll get someone to your area right now, please give us an address.”

“I…I….” She cried and looked around then whispered the address really quick, “They’re coming…I can’t stay on the phone!” She hung up really quick and grinned at Alexander.

“I can’t believe that you just did that,” Alexander said in a whisper, “That’s a false statement.”

Mary shrugged and ran back down the stairs, “So, you guys have been trespassing on my house for about a year or so?”

“We’re sorry; please don’t press charges, especially not on my fiancé.” The brown haired man said; he looked no older than twenty three.

Alexander sighed, “My wife here is…special…she’s already called the cops and even if you step out that door you’ll be caught before you get into your car.”

Mary smiled and watched the couple panic and drop to her feet; she moved out of their way and sprawled out on the couch. “You might want to give me my key too.”

The man threw it at her and she caught it, “Take it, take it, and please don’t press charges like this! We didn’t know that someone actually lived here.”

The woman got onto her feet and started to beg Alexander to talk some sense into Mary, “Once her mind’s set then…I can’t do anything.” He walked over to her and frowned, “How many times have I told you to behave?

Mary sat up and glared at him, “Fine, I’ll tell the cops it was a false call.” She flipped open her phone and redialed 911, “Hi, I’d like to call off the squad cars to my house, this couple just accidently walked into my house and lived there for a year. I don’t want to press charges anymore, please excuse my error.”

The couple cried over Mary, “Thank you! You don’t know what this means to us!”

She rolled her eyes, “Hold on, don’t leave so quickly.” They stopped in their steps, “Did you have sex in my bed?” When she didn’t hear anything, “You better get rid of that bed and get me a new one Jimmy Keats.”

He looked at her in shock, “How’d you—“

She cut him off, “I remember you from when I was six; it was no accident that you came to my particular house because you knew where the key was located.” His fiancé battered her eyelashes at Alexander and made some kissing motions, “Oh please, you two get a room.”

Alexander glared and Mary and then glared at the girl, “Stop doing that towards me before I file some sexual harassment charges.”

“Mary…Harwich?” He said in an astonished voice, “What are you doing in Florida?”

“It’s Mary Hamilton, wife of the billionaire Alexander Hamilton. Which is the man standing by your fiancé, whom I think you should dump because she comes off as a gold digger?”

Jimmy looked at Mary and then at his woman, “Julie…we’re over.” The blonde looked appalled as she ran out of the house and set off the alarm.

Mary groaned and turned off the alarm and watched her perky butt run to the car and speed off, “You sure know how to pick the booty calls. Why aren’t you living with your parents?”

“They didn’t accept me going out with Julie…but that’s not a problem is it? She was getting boring anyways because…I cheated on her with six girls and she cheated on me with twenty guys. I guess you coming around just gave me an epiphany...”

Mary ignored him and flipped through the phone book and dialed a number, “Hello, this is Mary Hamilton and I was wondering if you could bring a locksmith to my house today?”

“Of course, to what address?” She gave a quick address and then told the woman how many locks she wanted changed.

“Alright, I’ll see you in a few minutes.” Mary hung up and looked up at Alexander who was busy talking on his phone also. Mary glared at Jimmy, “You owe me a new bed and a new feather blanket with new sheets.”

“I’ve never head sex in that bed, I swear, I just didn’t know how to respond to that question. We both slept in the guest room in the basement in case anyone ever came into the house.”

Mary raised her eyebrows, and ran downstairs. Alexander didn’t bother to follow Mary anymore and sat on the white couches; talking on the phone with Mark.

She looked at the room and saw that it was a huge mess, “I…believe you. Now get out.” Jimmy gave her a surprised look but then he walked out the front door, “Now I have to burn this room…” She walked back upstairs to see Alexander was still on the phone.

She jumped on the couch and changed the channel; then grabbed his PDA out of his hand and listened to the voice, “Hey Mark, I suggest you stop hitting on my husband or else I’m going to have to join in your gay sex.” Then she hung up the phone quickly.

He looked at her angrily, “How many times do I have to tell you to behave? I mean seriously, you walked away from me two times at the factory and then tackled a man in front of everyone! You make me look like a fool around people whenever I bring you anywhere! You insult me in front of my colleagues and insult my secretaries too? How much of this am I going to have to take from you, Mary?”

Mary grinned, “You can’t handle this? If you really want me to behave…” She said climbing on top of him; she trailed her finger down the buttons of his shirt. “Then maybe you could…” She said with her face an inch away from his face, “Stop acting like you’re such a grown up because I believe that when you were a kid…you still acted like this.”

Alexander’s face grew hot as he looked down at his lap, “Yes, I’ve always been like this…”

Mary felt someone hard poke her crotch area, “Really? You’re such a bore…so…you inherited your father’s company…which means he’s dead? Or you don’t keep in contact with him anymore?”

Alexander swallowed, “Uh, yeah, he’s in Hawaii with my step mother…she’s my age…” He looked down and up again, “Do we really have to talk about this while you’re sitting on my lap?”

“There’s not another time to talk about it,” She ran her fingers through his hair, “you’re twenty one years old and I’ve never seen you actually have fun. I’ve heard about you having fun with other women…” She said as she had her hand on the back of his head, “so I might possibly have an STD, if I do…I’m going to kill you.” She pulled his blonde hair and he grabbed her hand.

“I’ve always practiced safe sex and I’ve only had…one girl.” He looked up at her, “To be honest, the women the limo drivers see in the car come to my house and I just take them home. Whatever you heard was wrong…I was a virgin until last night…with you…”

“Liar…!” She looked at his flustered face, “But that would explain…why you’re so…”

“Kristina cheated on me because I wouldn’t ever give her…myself?” He held onto her waist, “Do we really have to talk about this right now…? I mean…I’m…you’re…on top of me…and…” He said in labored breaths, “I’m confused…”

Mary felt something flutter around her belly as she looked down at his green eyes and heated pink face, “I’m confused too…” She slowly inched her face closer to his, “I don’t know what I’m doing…” She pecked his lips softly and then kissed him again, “I…” she said kissing him, “I’m…”

“Don’t say anything.” He said as he kissed her back and laced his fingers in her hair. He grabbed her and held her tightly to him, “You’re really beautiful…you know that?”

The doorbell went off and Mary looked down at him, “Lock smith is here…” She put a pillow on top of his lap and skipped to the door, “Hello, could you start with the front door?” The fat man nodded and started to take apart the locks.

Mary skipped back over to a troubled Alexander, “I’m fine now.” He stood up and took off his navy blue suit jacket, “Why’d you need to get a locksmith…now?”

She shrugged and saw that the man was already done, “That’s the only lock I really need to get done.” She took out her wallet and handed the man a thousand dollars, “That’s a tip for getting it done so soon.”

The fat man smiled at her and gave her the new set of keys, “Thank you miss!” He ran out to his car and sped off.

She shoved the keys into her purse and sat back on the couch with Alexander, “You know this doesn’t change anything right? I still hate you.”

“Whatever, you’re such a liar.” Alexander said planting himself next to her, “Let’s be cliché and say…I’ll never leave you baby, no matter what.”

Mary gave him a disgusted face, “We’re not compatible baby, let’s break up.”

Alexander dropped to his knees, “No honey! I need you…we’re meant to be together!”

Mary stood up and started to walk away but Alexander held onto her leg, “Let go of me you wench, you slept with other men.”

Alexander held on tight, “I swear I didn’t! Men are a bunch of liars they don’t know about our love!”

“How dare you insult me like this!” Mary said with a deep voice, “I walked in on you and you’re calling me a liar! There’s definitely no way we’ll be together now!”

She tried to shrug him off but he stayed on, “But baby I love you! Don’t leave me!”

Arron looked at this sight and clapped, “I never thought I’d see this sight…How strange…since when was Mary the man of the relationship?”

Alexander got up and straightened out his shirt and pants, “We were just…uh…”

Mary looked up at Alexander and blushed, “We were…acting?”

“Something that you guys don’t have to explain about…seriously, it’s okay if you’re both being complete freaks together.” Arron walked over to them and grinned, “I had a feeling you guys would be here, I called your house and the housekeeper said you’d gone to Florida. I had to fly down here as quick as I could because I have to tell you something Mary.”

Mary looked at his face and then back at Alexander, “I guess I have to talk to him…now…?” She grabbed his arm and pulled him down to her level, “We’ll continue this later…”

She ran over to Aaron who pulled her out the back sliding doors, down the stairs and onto the white sand, “I’ve graduated and…I got accepted to John Hopkins’s…the university that you’d promise we’d go to together…”

She looked up at him and sighed, “There’s absolutely no way that’ll happen now…I’m pretty sure that…he’ll never let me leave his side.” She looked at the light blue water and smiled, “I’m going to keep the promise to you no matter what…I’ll make sure that I graduate high school…”

Arron looked down at her sadly, “I’m going to wait a year for you to join me at John Hopkins…and if you’re not there…I’m going to be very mad at you.” He chuckled, “I mean…if you’re not there in a year…I’m going on without you.”

Mary looked up at him and smiled, “What do you mean wait for me for a year? Do you mean…you’re going to wait a year before you go to John Hopkins?”

Arron nodded and smiled back at her, “I’ll wait for you to catch up to my intelligence!”

Mary could feel her eyes welling up with tears and she looked away from him, “I’ll catch up to you…Arron.”

Alexander heard everything by sitting next to the window; he even saw her red eyes from where he was sitting. He had no idea that he was causing her dream to vanish into thin air…

He sat up angrily and took out his PDA calling the principal of the boarding school he went to, “Mr. Walters? Yes, this is Alexander Hamilton calling…I was wondering if you could accept a new student in the starting semester?”

“Of course, Mr. Hamilton I’d do anything for you and with your father’s generous contributions to the school it wouldn’t be the great place that it is now!”

“How much would it cost for the first semester of school? The girl I’m trying to get in only has only a year of school left…”

“It’s seventy thousand for the year…”

“That’s fine, as long as she can get into the school.”

“Of course Mr. Hamilton, but if she flunks out…I’m afraid there isn’t much I can do for her…”

“She won’t flunk out, she’s really brilliant. When does school start?” Alexander looked out the window, she looked so happy when she was with Arron…why couldn’t she be like that with him?

“It starts the second of August, but she should come in early to get her room and schedule…I’ll also need her transcript of the last school she went to.”

“I’ll get that all to you tomorrow, thank you.” Alexander hung up his phone and immediately dialed Mark’s number, “I need you to get the transcripts of Mary Harwich and fax it to the boarding school in New York…the one I went to in high school.” He hung up and saw that Mary was coming back in and hurriedly ran over to the couch and turned on the TV.

Mary looked over at him on the couch and ran over to him, “Miss me?”

“Why would I miss you? Go get me a beer.” Alexander said, gluing his eyes to the TV.

“But we don’t have any beer in the house…I’m too young!”

“Make me happy wench.” Alexander said, trying not to smile.

Mary poked his face and laughed, “You’re a jerk you know that? Say hello to Arron, he’s waiting to have a boy’s night out with you.”

Arron pointed to himself, “Wo…wo meiyou!”

Mary got up and smacked him on the back of the head, “You better not say you didn’t because I’m pretty sure you said you wanted to have more of a talk with him.”

Alexander looked up at Mary, “Woman! How many languages do you know?”

“One, it’s called the language of love.” She pounced on him and laughed, “I only speak it with the one I love.”

“When you two are about to get intimate…please get a room, my eyes are going to burn!” Arron said with a hint of jealous, he didn’t know what was going through his mind.

Mary quickly got off him and looked at the both of him, “You both! Go out and have the time of your lives…I’ll even let you take the red Viper.” She dangled the keys in their faces and Alexander was the first to grab it.

“I’m driving; I don’t trust any of Mary’s friends because when I was in the car with her…it was scary.”

“Correction, one friend.” Mary walked outside and opened the garage for them, “Take care of my beautiful car…”

Alexander glanced over at Arron as he was driving, “Where should we go…I honestly don’t know Florida that well.”

“First off, I have to disguise you because you’re too famous.” He grabbed a black beanie and put it on his head, along with black tinted sunglasses. “Now you don’t look too gay, but you need a change of clothes.”

“I happen to think my clothing is very exceptional for a man of my stature.” Alexander said as he concentrated on the road.

“Turn around, go back to the house. I’ll give you something of mine to wear…we’re about the same height and size.” Alexander had nothing else to do but oblige; when they walked into the house they almost collided into Mary as she slid down the staircase railing.

“Oh, what are you guys doing back?’ Mary said as she landed on her butt.

“I couldn’t have Alex here, walking out there looking all conspicuous and stuff.” Arron said, helping Mary on her feet.

“You should dress him up like a woman; he’d play the part of your girlfriend really well.” Mary stuck out her tongue at Alexander and ran up the stairs before he could get her.

Chapter Eleven

Alexander looked around, “So we went out so we could eat at a dirty fast food place…” He looked up at the flickering sign and walked inside.

Arron sat down with eleven cheese burgers and their two large drinks, “Eat up.” He said as he took a cheeseburger out of its wrapper and stuffed it in his mouth.

They sat out on the large rocks of the beach, “Tell me about yourself Arron.”

“My name is Arron Kasich; I’m seventeen years old about to be eighteen on the ninth of August. I’m actually just visiting you guys before I take my leave, I think I want to vacation in Korea or China for a while.”

“That’s interesting, what do your parents do?” Alexander asked as he looked out into the fading horizon.

“Both of my parents are oncologists and I’m going to be the same thing.” Arron picked up some rocks and tossed it into the ocean. “What about you Mr. Billionaire?”

“As you know, I’m Alexander Hamilton. I’m twenty one and not happily married although I’d like to be. My birthday is the fourteenth of December, my mother is somewhere in Alaska and my father is in Hawaii with my twenty one year old step mother. I’ve already inherited my father’s company and that’s what I plan to do for the rest of my life, be a working man.” Alexander looked down at the rocks sadly, “Do you have any siblings?”

“I have an older brother; he refused to be what my parents wanted him to be…I’m not sure where he is now…probably traveling around the states.”

“I have a younger brother, he’s Mary’s age…he’s with my father in Hawaii, he’ll be going to boarding school in New York on the second of August.” Alexander smiled at Arron, “I’m sending Mary there for a year…so that she can finish high school off.”

Arron gave him a surprised look, “Does she know this? Why are you telling me all of the sudden?”

“I’ll tell her in a few days…when we go register at the school…there’s only about three weeks until the school starts. I’m telling you because…I don’t want her to know yet. I want to be able to tell her that she’ll be boarded in New York…I doubt she’ll be very happy…I don’t think she’s happy at all.” Alexander looked down at his watch, “It’s almost eleven; I think we should get ourselves back to the house before Mary gets upset.”

Mary grabbed another shot of Vodka and smiled, “Here we go…” She drank it quickly and poured herself another shot, “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone gives you courage…Lao Tzu.” She threw the shot glass across the kitchen and started to drink out of the bottle.

“Honey, we’re home!” Alexander looked around, “You think she’s sleeping already?”

“No, she’d never go to sleep so early…” Arron looked on the couch and then saw her in the kitchen holding the bottle of Vodka, “I thought I hid all of the alcohol!” Arron ran over to her and snatched the bottle out of her hand, “What were you thinking?”

She smiled at Arron, “You’re a pretty doctor…” She touched his face and laughed, “Marry me Doctor Chase!” She wrapped her arms around Arron and then spotted Alexander, “Holy shit, it’s that rich billionaire Bill Gates! I didn’t know you were friends with him Doctor Chase!” She pushed Arron aside and stumbled her way over to Alexander. “You’re not that billionaire…you look like…Doctor Chase!”

“She’s…I had no idea she drinks…” Alexander said as he caught her from tripping.

“I tried to hide all of the alcoholic drinks…she’s not the best drunk. She can hold her liquor well…it’s just that she’ll…” Arron trailed off as he picked up the glass shards.

“Doctor Chase…I’ve had dreams about you…now that you’re here…” She grabbed Alexander’s face and placed a sloppy kiss on his lips, “I love you Doctor Chase.”

“That’s what she’ll do…and she’s always fantasizing about the doctors off House; sometimes it’s Doctor Chase or sometimes it’s Gregory House.” Arron laughed, “Sometimes its Jimmy Wilson too.”

“You mean…she’s drank like this before? Does she remember what she does?” Alexander held onto Mary but she kept fidgeting around.

She looked down at a magazine and flipped through it quickly and then stopped on Alexander’s picture, “Oh my gosh…you’re that famous stupid idiot head gazillionaire!” She turned around and looked at Alexander, “It says…Alexandra the whore?” She giggled and smacked Alexander’s face, “You’re a girl!”

“Hold on, watch this.” Arron put on his black beanie and the sunglasses Alexander took off, “Kon bon wa, namae wa HYDE desu. Hajimemashite.”

She turned around and looked wide eyed at Arron, “HYDE!” She tackled Arron to the ground and ripped off his shirt. She was about to kiss him when Alexander pulled her off him, “I want to rape HYDE! Let go of me!”

Arron laughed and pulled off the beanie and glasses; he held up his shirt, “She’s exciting huh?”

“I can make fun of her now…” Alexander grinned evilly.

Mary looked up at Alexander, “For a gazillionaire…you’re really pretty Alexandra. I don’t care if you’re a girl, you’re pretty.” She ripped the clothing off Alexander and stared at his body, “You don’t have breasts! You’re not a woman! You lied to me!” She twisted his nipples and he grabbed her wrists.

She grabbed the bottle of Vodka out of Arron’s hand and chugged the rest of it; passing out on Alexander.

Mary woke up with a huge hang over and she clutched onto her forehead; she started to remember bits and pieces of yesterday and fell out of bed. She looked on the bed to see Alexander half naked and she lifted up the blanket and put it back down quickly. Then she looked down at herself and smiled to see that she was fully dressed, “Don’t worry, I just wanted to sleep naked to see what you’d think.”

“You could have some decency.” Mary mumbled; she slammed the bathroom door and took a hot shower. She stepped out ten minutes later with a towel wrapped around her torso, “When are we going to leave Florida?”

“Right after you put on your clothes,” Alexander said shaking the water out of his hair, “I’m going to go see if Arron is awake yet.”

Mary nodded and dropped the towel; changing quickly and making sure that she had everything in her bag. She never realized how many keys she actually had; she ran around the house and grabbed all the keys before she popped three ibuprofens.

“Why’d you pop so many pills?” Alexander said walking down the stairs and straightening out his suit.

“Because she finds that ibuprofen becomes ineffective after taking them so many times.” Arron stated as he grabbed all of his bags and walked out the front door. The limo driver helped him put it in the trunk and Alexander followed him.

Mary locked up the house and set the alarm, “No ones using this house…people are such money grubbers…”

She dove into the limo and lay out on the limo floor, “Hey Arron…I’m sorry for drinking…”

“Its fine, seriously, I don’t mind. Alex and I both lost our shirts because of you…we’ll my shirts. So you owe me two t-shirts.” Arron pulled her off the ground, “Alex was surprised that you could act like that. Be sure he doesn’t try and get you drunk, because I know what happens when you do and now he does too!”

Arron walked around the mansion, “Man…I wish I was you.” He settled himself in the room across from Mary, “Since you guys are married shouldn’t you guys be in the same room?”

“Never.” Mary glared at Alexander and ran into her room, “I’ll never sleep in his room!”

“What about that one time when we—“

“That never happened, I was drunk!” Mary yelled at him and slammed the door again.

Arron stayed at the mansion for a long week and said his good byes to Mary as he embarked on a trip around Korea, “I’ll miss you Mary; remember I’ll love you no matter what.” He gave her a kiss on the forehead as he turned to walk on the plane, “I’ll write to you!”

Mary lay around the mansion doing nothing; Alexander had hidden all of his alcohol and Mary couldn’t think of anything to do, “Mary, get up.”

She sat up quickly, “What’s the matter Xander?”

“It’s a surprise.” He dragged her all the way out to the airstrip and then threw her on the jet.

“What kind of surprise makes you do this?” Mary mumbled angrily.

Alexander didn’t say anything for the four hours they were on the plane and still didn’t say anything when they were in the black car. He finally pulled her out when they were facing a large building, “Ta da! This is the boarding school you’ll be going to in a week! School starts the second of August.”

“What?” She punched him in the arm, “How dare you put me in a boarding school filled with preps who think they are better than everyone else, including you!” She was about to go back into the car when Alexander dragged her into the building and up the stairs to the principal’s office.

“Hello Mr. Walters, this was the girl I was talking to you about.” Alexander pushed her towards the principal to shake his hand.

She sighed and shook his hand, “I saw your transcript and it was amazing, you were the valedictorian of your class? I can’t wait to have you here, let me show you to your room.” He escorted them out of the office, “I made sure that no one was here when you guys came…and you’d like be a Harwich and not a Hamilton when you’re here right?”

Mary nodded her head and looked around at the nice hallways and classrooms, “I appreciate it very much Mr. Walters…if you didn’t tell anyone about Mary and I.” Alexander said as he looked through the hallways, “So many memories…”

Mr. Walters opened a door and revealed a room with a queen sized bed in the center, a desk to the right hand side with a nice computer sitting on top of it. Along with a large flat screen pinned against the wall and a sliding door closet to the left hand side. The room was illuminated with four large windows, two behind the bed and two by the computer table.

“The way our school works is that the dorms are shared by guys and girls; usually a girl has a room mate but we made an exception for you. This hallway is filled with young boys…so you’ll be the only girl in this hallway. We didn’t want any of the girls to speak amongst themselves saying that we were giving you special treatment or anything.” Mr. Walters picked up the uniform on the bed, “This is the uniform that’s going to be worn and Mr. Hamilton has taken the liberty of putting all of your clothes in the closet along with your accessories.” He pointed to the wood dresser and the sliding closet doors.

Mary stared at Alexander with an open mouth, “You should have told me sooner so that I could have hung myself.”

Alexander nudged her, “I went to this school and I turned out okay…”

Mary went into a hysterical laugh, causing both of the men to look at her funny, “Oh sorry, I was just…” She turned around and skipped down the hallway.

Alexander shook hands with Mr. Walters, “Thank you, but I’d like some more locks on this door…I don’t trust boys that much…”

“I’ll get right to that; I’ll make sure she’s secure in her room.” Alexander followed Mary out to the car.

“So what do you think?” Alexander said as he got into the car, “Pretty snazzy huh?”

Mary crossed her arms and glared at him; she’d never felt so angry before. How could he suddenly send her to a boarding school? Wait, maybe this was a good thing. Then maybe she could resist her urges when she’s around Alexander.

She lunged at him and kissed his cheek many times, “I love it, thank you!”

Alexander smiled and took out a suede case from his pocket and handed it to her, “I thought you might like this.”

She looked down at it and slowly opened it, “A silver cross?”

“Platinum, that’s better than silver honey. I want you to have it and put your ring on it…so that you’ll have it all the time.”

Mary grinned as he put the necklace around her neck, along with slipping her ring on it, “It goes…far down my chest…” She said looking down her shirt.

“It’s so no one sees it.” Alexander said, “I don’t want people to find out about you just yet.”

Chapter Twelve

Mary looked up at the school while she was in the limo and gave Alexander a weary look, “Thanks…for doing this…but if I don’t return…I’ve died.” She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek but he turned quickly and gave her a kiss on the lips.

“I’ll see you this weekend; I want to take us somewhere special.”

“You still owe me a week in Paris.” She said as she got out of the limo, “Remember that deal? Or promise…whatever…it was called.”

“I remember, pick up the phone when I call you okay?”

She grabbed her small suitcase and backpack, “I will, don’t worry.” Alexander hid in the back of the limo.

She looked up at the school and slowly walked inside; once she got in the hallway she was scared for her life. There were basketballs being tossed from room to room and guys running around half naked and hitting each other with towels. She walked to the back of the hallway and looked at the locks, “Thanks a lot…Snobby…three locks.” She took five minutes to open all of the locks and sneak inside; once she was inside she felt her phone vibrate, “Hello?”

“How’d you like the locks on your door?” Alexander chuckled.

“They were very nice; I’m utterly frightened about the amount of boys walking around half naked.” Mary said as she locked her door, “They eyed me funny too.”

“Boys are stupid, don’t worry about them. I’ll call you to make sure you’re awake in the morning.” Alexander sighed, “I miss you already.”

“Whatever, I hate you.” She hung up her phone and laid out on the bed, she fell asleep instantly.

She felt her phone and alarm clock going off and quickly turned it off, “Hello?”

“Get up lazy, it’s time for school.” She walked over to her closet and opened the door to the personal bathroom, “Good luck.”

“Whatever, I hate you.” She hung up the phone and washed her self up. She walked back into the bathroom after she had her uniform on and sighed, “I look like a fool!”

She grabbed her schedule and backpack, then stepped out of her room and locked the doors, slipping the three keys around her neck.

“You sure have a lot of locks on your door.” A boy said from behind her, “A little…paranoid?”

Mary chuckled and turned around to look up at a brown haired green eyed boy, he looked a lot like Alexander but younger. “No, it’s just my parents…requested that I have lots of locks on the door.”

“You’re new aren’t you? Plus, I noticed you yesterday…you’re the only girl on this floor.” He held out his hand, “I’m Andrew Hamilton.”

She shook his hand, “I’m Mary Harwich…you look like someone…famous…have you heard that?”

Andrew groaned, “If you’re talking about my older brother Alexander than…yeah.”

“Who’s that?” Mary said, she had to fake it because she couldn’t give anything away.

“You honestly don’t know who Alexander Hamilton is?” Andrew said walking with her down the stairs.

She nodded, “I’m sorry, I don’t like to…look at those magazines the girls nowadays are so…intrigued with.”

“You’re the first girl here that’s ever said that.” Andrew hugged her, “You’re my new favorite person, and will you give me the pleasure of eating breakfast with me?”

She smiled, “I’d love to eat breakfast with you.”

They sat down with their biscuit and gravy, “So how long are you going to be going here?” Andrew said sitting next to her.

“I’m only here for the year…I’m planning to go to John Hopkins’s after I graduate from here.” Mary smiled and drank her orange juice.

“JOHN HOPKINS? That’s where I want to go too!” Andrew said excitedly as three guys sat down at the table with them.

“Dude, you’ve already got a chick on the first day of school?” A blonde haired boy said as he slid his tray across from Mary.

“I’m sorry, I’m not his chick. We just met while we were walking to breakfast.” They all chatted and she found out that the guys she was sitting with were the group of guys who got all of the girls. The group of guys who were the richest and the most popular in the whole school, how this happened, she had no idea.

They walked her to her first class and Andrew was actually in the same class as her, they said their byes and said they’d meet each other at lunch. “You’re the coolest chick I’ve ever met. I think I’m already in love with you…marry me?”

Mary chuckled and sat next to him at the lab table, “Sorry, I don’t think I want to get married any time soon. I’m scared of a commitment, having only one guy would scare me!”

“That’s exactly what I was thinking.” Andrew smiled and showed his pretty white teeth, “Class doesn’t start for another fifteen minutes…I heard this professor is super cool.”

“That’s sweet, I love cool teachers. Those up—“ She felt her phone vibrate and looked down, ‘Snob calling.’ “Bonjour?”

“Why do you keep hanging up on me?” Alexander said as he got onto his jet.

“I can’t talk right now; I’m talking to my new friend…Andrew Hamilton.” She strained the last part of it.

“You’re talking to my little brother? Don’t do that! He’s a freak, he wants to get into your pants, get away from him!”

“Au revoir, I’ll call you later.” Mary hung up her phone.

“It sounds like that person was angry at you…” Andrew grinned and looked away as a blonde haired girl walked into the room. “Don’t look, she’s the school slut.”

Mary glanced up really quick and noticed that she was very beautiful; blonde hair, bright blue eyes. Killer legs and a full bust, no wonder she was the school slut. “Why are you so afraid of her?”

Alexander did a shushing noise, “Is she coming over here?”

Mary looked up, “Yes sir, you’re screwed.”

The blonde looked down at Mary and ignored her; going for Andrew with full force, “Hey Andy, I haven’t talked to you since…that party…”

Andrew chuckled nervously, “Yeah Ashley…I’m sorry. I have just been so busy!”

“Was it with this girl…because you’ve seriously become too modest with the girls…well I guess if you’re getting some then the face won’t matter.” Ashley sneered.

Mary smiled at her and twirled her pencil; she was about to say something but Andrew intervened, “No, this is my best friend Mary. I’ve actually been really busy in the summer, I’m sorry Ashley; please don’t talk badly about my best friend.”

“I’m sorry.” She looked down at her, “I’m Ashley Stanton.”

Mary smiled, “I’m Mary Harwich, and it’s very nice to meet you.”

Ashley was about to say something but the bell rung and she and her posse sat behind Andrew and Mary. The teacher walked in, he looked no older than twenty five, “Good morning class, you have the honor of being in AP Chemistry!” He put his name in chalk on the board, “Mr. Huntington.” He turned around to face the class and Mary could tell that he was very nervous, “Let’s start with the roll.”

The girls behind her were flipping through a magazine, “Oh my goodness, I’d love to just get all over him!”

Ashley looked down at the picture, “Totally, Alexander Hamilton is someone I’d love to…you know.” Then she poked Andrew, “You should introduce me to your older brother sometime Andrew.”

“Well…I heard that he’s taken these days…sorry.” He grabbed the magazine from them and showed Mary, “This is my older brother, he’s…sort of famous.”

She looked down at the magazine, “Oh, he looks like a woman. I don’t get what you girls are obsessing over; he looks like a total snob.”

Andrew laughed and handed the magazine back to them, “Marry me Mary, seriously. That’s the first time I’ve heard a girl say that about my older brother.” He hugged her and she awkwardly chuckled. Keeping this secret is going to be really hard.

“Like you would know what a man is, Alexander Hamilton will be my future husband.” Ashley sniped back, “He’s absolutely gorgeous.”

“Ladies, is there something that you’d like to discuss in front of the class?” Mr. Huntington said to the class, “Or would it be alright if I continued checking the roll?”

“I’m sorry Mr. Huntington; there was just an argument between us on Alexander Hamilton. I must say that he’s the juiciest man alive…but you’re close to him.” Ashley winked at Mr. Huntington, “Please continue.”

Mary gave a scared look over at Andrew, “I’m sorry, she’s always like this…she’s not the brightest girl in the apple tree. Or however those metaphors are.” Andrew whispered in her ear.

The classes went by quick; it was odd that she had at least one class with the popular boys. What was even more odd was the amount of girl gossip that accumulated around the school already. People were talking about her and saying that she was some slut that was trying to get into those guys pants.

She just shrugged them off, “Mary, you want to chill with us? We’re going to go to the mall and pick up some chicks!” Brandon, the brown haired boy, said.

“Sure, I don’t have anything better to do anyways.” She sat in Brandon’s large Escalade and listened to them turn on the loud rap and hip hop.

Once they got to the mall it was like the women were falling at their feet when they’d walk into a store; when they finally just sat down at the food court, “You guys…I wish I knew your technique in picking up a girl. But too bad I’m not into that species.”

“It’s not that hard, especially when you look like us.” Mickey stated; shining his bright teeth.

Mary giggled, “We better head back; lights out at ten.” Andrew stated, they all got up and hopped back into the Escalade. When they got out of the Escalade there was a group of pretty blonde girls standing by the entrance door.

“So is this your new prostitute…or is she all of your guys’ play toy?” Ashley grinned.

Brandon walked up to her and looked down at her pretty face, “Don’t talk about our new friend like that. She’s not like what you guys think, so stop spreading rumors about her. You may be jealous that she’s hanging around guys like this…but this is what we call stalking. Aren’t you sinking a little low to be following us wherever we go?”

Ashley scoffed and walked inside, “She’s not even that pretty anyways.”

For almost four months she was talked behind her back constantly for hanging out with the guys, “So what are you going to be for the Halloween dance?” Andrew grinned, “I’m going to be Romeo…will you be my Juliet?”

Mary laughed, “Why don’t you go look for some other poor girl to make your Juliet?”

Andrew pouted his lip, “Please, please, please, Mary!” He cupped both of his hands together, “I beg of you…all of the other guys have a girl to bring with him and I don’t want to be left out!”

“I’m not being Juliet…how about you’re a warlock and I’ll be a witch? I don’t know…I’ve always hated that stupid play by Shakespeare.”.

“Great! But I think I’ll be the devil and you dress as my devil wife. That sounds a little more interesting…because we can both be devils together!” Alexander waved both of his hands in the air, “Okay?”

“Alright…but you’re buying the outfits. I don’t want to be seen getting costumes with you. There’s one week until the Halloween dance…be quick with the costume getting.”

“Fine, but when I get it you…can’t complain! You have to wear it…okay?” Andrew said as he walked her to her dorm room.

“Alright, go to sleep.” She sprawled out onto her bed and called Alexander, “Our secret’s still safe…so weird…I’ve never actually kept a secret before.”

“So what’s the deal with you and my brother?” Alexander stated as he rummaged through his paperwork, “I don’t like where this is going.”

“Nothing is going between me and him; although I’m his date to the Halloween dance. We’re going to be devils together.” She changed into her sleeping clothes, “So we won’t hang out this weekend…I’m sorry.”

“That’s alright; I didn’t want to hang with you anyways.”

“Liar, because you know you wanted to hang out with me.” Mary grinned widely while she was talking to him.

“I know I’m a liar, I think you should go to sleep.”

“Yes, good night.” Mary hung up and looked up at the ceiling; she’d gotten a little closer to Alexander in the past three and a half months. They hung out every weekend, he’d take her to stupid operas and plays; or sometimes they’d just sit at home and watch a movie.

The day before the Halloween dance Andrew knocked on Mary’s door after school, “Hello! I know you’re in there Mary!”

She groaned as she opened the door, “What is it Andrew?”

“I got your costume!” He handed her a black package, “Try it on…see if it fits.” He barged inside and locked the door, “I won’t tell anyone.”

Mary rolled her eyes and walked into the bathroom, quickly slipping on the devil horns and tail; he even went eccentric as to give her a tiny red pitchfork. The costume was decent; besides the fact that it was very revealing with red pantyhose…it looked like he’d given her a bathing suit that covered just her torso. It revealed her legs, “Is there at least a skirt with this thing? I feel like I’m wearing skimpy lingerie.” She said as she walked out of the bathroom.

“I love it, that’s exactly what I want you to wear.” Andrew grinned as he sat on her bed.

“You’re a freak…” She looked down at herself, “I’ll find some red heels with this…but…I seriously think I should wear a skirt with it too.” She looked through her closet and found a short red skirt and slipped it on, it went perfectly with the red corset. “There, that’s a lot better.”

“No! I like the skimpy version of you better!” Andrew whined, “Take it off!”

Mary rolled her eyes, “No, I’m covering my self up a little bit…I’m still revealing a lot okay.”

Andrew knocked on her door, “I’m ready are you?”

She stepped out of her room and locked the doors; she’d added silky red short gloves and a bowtie to match Andrew, “We look like a couple now huh?”

Andrew had dressed up in a white dress shirt and red vest along with red slacks and a black bowtie. He put on devil ears and tail and held his red pitchfork in his right hand, “We look sweet. It’s a good thing no one else stole our idea.”

They walked into the ballroom and saw colorful blinking lights and heard loud music blast all around the room, “It’s loud in here!” Mary yelled as she was dancing to the music.

The guys walked over to them with their girls, “Totally sweet! There’s a party in my dorm room after this is over! At like twelve we’ll meet together or something!” Brandon yelled loudly.

“That dorm room is my dorm room also!” Mickey yelled, “We’ll rock out and get drunk!”

After about two hours of dancing they finally stopped the music and flashed the white lights on the stage, “It’s time to announce the best couple costume here!” Ashley yelled over the microphone, she was dressed as a Barbie because she was convinced she looked better than a plastic one.

One of her Barbie drones walked over to her with the envelope; she opened it and took out the card, “The best dressed couple here today is…” She looked down at the card, “Andrew Hamilton and Mary Harwich…?” She said into the microphone with a baffled look, “What? You guys voted for them and not for Daniel and me?”

The principal took the card out of her hand and another teacher shooed her off the stage, “Come up here guys and get your prize!” Mary and Andrew ran up to the stage and smiled widely at each other, “It’s…a five day getaway for two at the Hamilton Hotel in Hawaii!”

Andrew grinned widely and winked at Mary, “Getaway for us…”

Mary rolled her eyes and punched him in the arm, “I’m not doing anything with you.”

Ashley walked up on the stage and gave Mary a hug, “That’s so exciting you get to be going to a hotel by yourself with Andrew Hamilton!” She clipped a clear wire to her corset and another wire to her skirt, “Have fun!”

Andrew looked at her funny and held onto Mary’s hand, “Let’s get out of here and chill in…my pants.”

Mary laughed and saw that all of the guys were motioning them to get off the stage, “We’re coming!” Mary walked down the stairs after Andrew and felt a tug on her clothes, “I’m going as fast as I can!” She walked down forcefully and then heard a tear from behind her. She turned around and her clothes fell to her feet.

Andrew noticed she wasn’t following him and saw that everyone was still looking behind him; he turned around and saw Mary’s red panties and bra strap! “Mary!” He took off his red suit jacket and put it around Mary, “What happened?”

Her face felt hot as tears fell down her cheeks; she turned around and looked at Andrew before pushing past him and sprinting out of the ballroom.

Ashley grabbed the microphone and laughed, “It looks like she wanted to show everyone a strip show!”

Everyone was quiet as the rest of her friends sprinted out of the ballroom too; people started to throw things up onto the stage and yell out names at Ashley.

Andrew banged on Mary’s door, “Mary please open up! We’re supposed to leave for the airport in a few minutes!” She opened it slowly and looked at him sadly; she wheeled her suitcase behind her and locked her door.

“No one remembers what happened, don’t worry about it okay?” Andrew held her hand and helped her down the stairs; everyone was gone for the weekend. They were all out partying and enjoying themselves.

They sat in first place on the place and Andrew looked at her sadly, “Mary…everything’s going to be alright.”

Mary nodded and jadedly smiled at him, “I know.”

When they got to the hotel it was already dark; they had found out that the weekend getaway was only one room, “I guess I’ll sleep on the floor…” Mary mumbled, grabbing a pillow and setting it on the ground.

Andrew grabbed the pillow and put it back on the bed, “The bed is a king sized, we’ll be okay.”

Mary frowned at him and nodded, “Okay…I need to make a call. I’ll be back.” She walked out of her hotel room and down to the lobby. She sat in one of the sofa chairs and dialed Alexander’s number, “Hello…?”

“Mon amour, what’s the matter? You sound down.” She listened to the voice and it sounded like it was coming from two places, she looked around the lobby and spotted a man dressed in a black suit and baby blue dress shirt sitting at a table with a brunette.

“I’m…fine…what are you doing?” She said softly as she looked over at their table.

“I’m having dinner with a colleague…what are you doing?”

“What’s that colleague’s name? Don’t lie to me about who you’re having dinner with Alexander.” She still whispered.

“I’m having dinner with Kristina…I bumped into her on the way back to my hotel room.” Mary let out a soft ‘oh’ and Alexander got up out of his seat, “I swear there’s nothing going on between her and I, it’s just a dinner.”

She could hear Kristina’s voice say, “Sit back down, you’re making a scene, honey.”

Alexander sat down, “I’ll call you back later, okay?”

Mary hung up her phone and looked over at them, why would he all the sudden have a meal with Kristina? She put her hand on his hand and rubbed her leg up and down his leg. She leaned in the table and started lick her lips; Alexander pulled back but Kristina grabbed his tie and kissed him. What hurt her more was that he was kissing her back!

Mary stormed over there with red eyes and saw Alexander look up at her, “Mary I swear it’s not what it seems like!”

She slapped him across the face, “I never expected you to be the unfaithful one.” She took off her necklace and threw it at him before she sprinted up the stairs to the hotel.

Alexander glared at Kristina, “I’m putting a restraining order on you, bitch.” He got out of his seat and chased after her.

Mary ran into the room and locked it; she slid down the door and cried her eyes out, “Mary what happened?” Andrew knelt down beside her but she pushed him out of the way and ran into the bathroom.

She looked at herself in the mirror and cried, why had she let herself become this? She slowly sat down onto the bathroom floor and sobbed, why had she let him get to her like that?

“Mary! Mary! Open the door…please…” Andrew banged on the door, “Don’t cry Mary…”

Alexander frantically looked around the hotel and spotted nothing; he looked down at the necklace and felt like his heart was being torn to shreds. How could he be so weak as to let her see something like that? Why couldn’t he have just pushed her away…why did he ruin something with the one he loved?

He walked slowly back to his hotel room and slammed the door; he threw off his suit jacket and laid down in his king sized bed, “I’m such a dumbass…”

Andrew heard a door slam from across their hotel room; he tried to pick the lock to the bathroom but had no luck, “Mary please just open the door…”

Mary slowly opened the door and looked down at Andrew, “I’m okay now…I think I just want to go to sleep.” She changed in front of Andrew like he wasn’t there and put on her sleeping clothes, “Good night.” She said as she crawled into the left side of the bed and closed her eyes.

Andrew stared at her blankly as she changed in front of him, what was he supposed to do? What he really wanted to know was why she was crying…who would cause her such pain? When he finds out he’s going to beat their face in…

Andrew laid down beside her and hugged her as she cried into his chest. He held onto her tightly until she finally fell asleep; he stroked her hair and kissed her forehead, “I’ll never leave you…”

Chapter Thirteen

Mary got up and stretched her arms; there was no need to feel sad for the ignoramus. She cleaned up and put on some clothes, “Wake up Andrew!” She jumped on top of him and he groaned.

“Fine…” He got up and walked to the bathroom, cleaning up and putting on his clothes also. “Where do you want to go today?”

“I don’t know…we’ll figure it out once we get out of this hotel.” She grabbed her messenger bag and slung it over her shoulder, “I hate this place.” She opened the door and stopped in her place when she saw Alexander holding his door handle and staring straight at her.

“Mary…” He whispered; unable to move.

“Why’d you all the sudden stop?” Andrew swung open the door and looked at his older brother, “Alexander…why in the hell are you here?”

Alexander looked up at Andrew and wearily smiled, “I just came to visit dad…who’s this girl?”

“This is my best friend, Mary. She’s the first girl who you’ll ever meet that doesn’t know of your existence.” Andrew smiled and pushed her slowly out the door.

Mary walked away from them quickly, “Wait, Mary! Don’t leave without me!” Andrew screamed as he ran after her, “It was nice seeing you again, I have to go.” He waved and hopped into the elevator with Mary, “Why’d you walk away so quickly? Didn’t you want to see how the famous Alexander Hamilton was?”

Mary looked up and smiled at him, “Nope, I just want to see how wonderful Andrew Hamilton is.” She held onto his hand and when the elevator stopped they skipped out of the hotel.

After five days of surfing constantly, Mary was exhausted as she wheeled her suitcase up the stairs of the dorm room. “That was a fun weekend Mary.” Andrew said as he was about to walk into his room.

Mary nodded and unlocked her door, “Yeah I enjoyed it too.” She opened her door and stopped dead in her tracks.

“Mary…what’s the matter?” Andrew looked inside her room and saw that it was filled with red and pink roses, on top of her bed hung an “I’m sorry, please forgive me” Sign. At the bottom there was a signature of “The Snob” on it.

Mary looked at the rose pedals all over her bed and floor and at the vases of roses that was every where else, she groaned and picked up her suitcase. She threw the suitcase into the closet and looked at the mess that was everywhere. There was a large box of chocolates in the center of her bed; on top of it was a card. She picked it up and read it:

Mary,

I know you hate me…I’m sorry for what I’ve done…and for the six months we’ve been together I’ve never felt so strongly about a girl before. I don’t know what I was thinking when Kristina kissed me, but you have to know I was only thinking of you…

Please forgive me for my wrong doings and if I could rewind time and see you smile once more…

I think I’ve fallen for you Mary…

~Snob

Mary threw the note on the floor, along with the box of chocolates and saw that the necklace was lying on the bed. She picked it up and stared at it; she clutched it in her hand for a bit and then wore it back around her neck. She put it under her t-shirt, “Some guy must really like you…may I ask who?”

“Some stalker, he’s been trying to get into my pants for a while.” Mary stated as she cleared her bed of the rose pedals, “Now I’m going to have to clean this all up…and I’m already exhausted…”

“Let me help.” Andrew turned on the lights and shut the door; he started to pick up the rose pedals as Mary put the three dozen vases into a corner, “He obviously isn’t a stalker…but if you don’t want to tell me then its fine.”

“I’ll tell you when the time is right…” Mary mumbled; clearing off her bed. “You really don’t have to help me…it’s alright.”

“No, it’s fine; you don’t want these roses to stink up your room tomorrow.” Andrew put all of the pedals into the trash can by her door, “Do you want me to sleep with you again?”

Mary gave him a weary smiled and pushed him out the door, “No, go to your room.”

Andrew opened his door, “That offer’s still available; you can come at any time!” He winked and went into his room.

Mary laid on her bed and turned her head to look at the clock, “Four…am…” She got up and changed into her uniform and brushed her teeth and hair. It was two hours before I would really wake up but…she had not been able to sleep the whole night and she had a feeling she wouldn’t sleep at all.

She walked out of her room and walked outside to look at the stars; too bad that in such a big city you couldn’t see a thing. At least at the school it was relatively quiet; quiet enough that she could hear her heels clicking on the pavement, “Look who is outside.” Ashley said; walking over to her clumsily.

The drones helped her try to stand up but all of them were a little tipsy themselves, “I see you’ve been out drinking…” Mary said as she continued to walk away from them. “School starts in like three hours; you might want to go to sleep.”

Ashley ran up to her and grabbed her shoulder, “You know I’m jealous of you…you have an amazing guy named Andrew…why can’t I be like you?” Ashley started to cry, “I only wanted everyone to make fun of you but…everyone hates me even more now…”

Mary tried to shrug her off, but Ashley clung on, “I understand you hate me…but right now I just want to be alone…”

Ashley grabbed Mary by the collar, “I don’t hate you, I’m jealous of you!” Ashley slapped her across the face and continued to cry, “Why are you so much better than me? I’m prettier than you!” Ashley pushed Mary away from her and fell to the ground, “I’m prettier than you!”

Mary groaned and walked away from her, “People are so weird…”

“Don’t walk away from me!” Ashley ran after again, “I’m not done talking to you!”

“Ashley…I’m not in the mood.” Mary continued to walk as Ashley grabbed onto her arm and glared at her.

Ashley’s face looked like a mess, her mascara ran down her cheeks and her hair frayed out of every corner. Even with her looking like that, you could still tell that she was very beautiful, “I do…I’m jealous and I hate myself for being jealous of you!” She swung at Mary but she ducked quickly and grabbed her arm.

The drones looked over at her in shock but Mary shoved Ashley into them and walked away. Ashley passed out on them and the drones helped drag Ashley back into the school.

Mary didn’t bother to look back at them; instead she kept walking out of the entrance of the school and looked around the town. She was surprised to see that there were still people walking around town; she looked around at the stores and clubs that were still open and hated being in such a busy town.

“Mary!” She heard a voice yell from behind her; she turned around and saw that Andrew was sprinting towards her, “Why are you up so early?”

“I just wanted to do some thinking…” Mary mumbled, “I’ve been up since four…it is six now…the question is why are you up so early?”

“I had a dream that you left the dorm at four and I had a dream that…” Andrew trailed off, “I love you.”

A car honked at Mary and she looked back over at Andrew, “What was the second dream?”

“I was eating a giant marshmallow! It was delicious and I found out it was my pillow!” Andrew laughed and grabbed her hand, “Let’s get breakfast.”

Mary sat at the table with all the guys and saw that they were quieter than usual, “What’s the matter?”

Brandon looked up at her, “Are you okay…I mean…Halloween…” Brandon sat next to her and looked into her eyes, “I never knew your body looked so great.”

Mary put her hand on his face and shoved him away, “Shut up, you monkey.”

“Hey, seriously though, are you alright?” Brandon wrapped his arm around her shoulder, “Ashley is a bitch…she’s a slut…”

Mary smiled at him, “It’s cool, but you want to know what is weird? When I was outside this morning at around four…I saw Ashley drunk and she said that she is jealous of me!”

“No way!” Mickey leaned over the table, “I’ve never even heard those words come out of her mouth!”

Andrew looked around the cafeteria until he finally saw Ashley walk through the doors; she was clutching onto her head and clumsily walking into the breakfast line, “She’s right there!” He pointed to her and all of the guys turned their head and snickered.

“Ashley! What kind of liquor should I get you the next time we hang out?” Mickey yelled over everyone, “If I get you drunk, will you sleep with me this time?”

Ashley yelled and stormed out of the cafeteria; causing everyone to laugh, “Mickey, why’d you do that…that was mean.” Mary said in a loud whisper.

Brandon laughed and grinned, “We’ve been doing this all week. That’s probably why she was drinking; ever since you two have been gone…we’ve been torturing her.”

Andrew and Mary sat in their seats in AP Chemistry, “I’ve never asked what field you were planning to study in when you’re at John Hopkins?”

“I’m planning to be a neurologist and my father hates me for wanting to become a doctor.” Andrew sighed and opened his textbook, “My older brother is my father’s favorite…he’s already inherited the company.”

“Do you like your brother?” Mary said as she opened her textbook too.

“Yeah, he’s cool. I mean besides that fact that he’s a total wimp when it comes to girls.” Andrew whispered in her ear, “Don’t tell anyone I told you though because he’d stab me.”

Mary giggled, “Does he tell you everything?”

“Most of the time,” Andrew whispered, “Don’t tell anyone I told you he’s a virgin either.”

“What about you Andrew? Are you still…you know?”

Andrew frowned, “To tell you the truth, I’m not.”

Mary leaned over and whispered in his ear, “I’m not either and we won’t tell who we’ve…you know.”

Andrew nodded and grinned, “So class, what’s the schedule for today?” The teacher looked over at Andrew and Mary, “Oh, the double helix couple is here. How was the trip to Hawaii?”

“Humdrum, we ran into Andrew’s brother. I realized his brother looks more like a girl than I thought!” Mary laughed, causing the rest of the class to hoot.

There was a knock on the door that caused everyone to quiet down; Mr. Huntington opened it looked at whoever was there in surprise, “Mr. Hamilton!”

Chapter Fourteen

Ashley stood up quickly but clutched her head as she wobbled around to see the person at the door, “Alexander Hamilton?”

Alexander walked into the class and flashed his shiny teeth, “May I see Mary Harwich?”

Mr. Huntington stuttered, “Of-of-of course!” He motioned her to come over but Mary glared at Alexander.

“Qu’est-ce qu’il y a?” (What do you want?) Mary snapped back.

Andrew looked over at her, “You know my brother?”

“I wish I didn’t.” Mary glared up at Alexander, “Is there a reason for your unpleasant visit?”

“Let’s talk about this somewhere private, s’il vous plait.” Alexander grabbed her arm but Mary shrugged it off.

“I believe there’s nothing to talk about.” Mary looked back over at Andrew stuck out her tongue.

Alexander sighed, “Alexander Hamilton! Since she doesn’t want to talk to you…I’ll definitely make the time to…” Ashley said winking at him and swishing around her hips.

Mary glared at Ashley and Alexander picked Mary up out of her chair and swung her over his shoulders, “I guess this will have to be the hard way.” He walked out of her classroom with her kicking and screaming.

“Let me go!” Mary yelled as he walked down the hallways; he finally put her down when they were in her room.

“Mary…we’re going to have to talk about this sometime, you know?” Alexander locked her door and pushed her on the bed, “Because I don’t like the way you’re acting towards me at all!”

Mary stood up and looked up at him angrily, “How am I supposed to act towards you Mr. Snobby Rich Man?”

“You’re supposed to be loving, affectionate, and caring. Like a wife of mine should act like!” Alexander yelled into her face, “How come you’re not like that at all?”

Mary shoved him out of her face and poked him, “Maybe if you were nicer to me, I’d be nicer to you! Why am I supposed to act like that towards you?” She took a deep breath, “I never wanted to be your wife!”

Alexander looked down at her angrily, “At first I didn’t want you to either…but now…I think I love you.” He leaned down to kiss her but Mary slapped him away.

“I don’t love you, monster.”

Alexander grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her, “Don’t you see how much pain I am in? Don’t you see how much I care about you? Don’t you see…how…I don’t care if the world knows our secret?” Alexander’s eyes filled up with tears and a few fell down his cheeks, “The question is why you won’t accept me?”

“Because I’m too young to fall in love…give me some space please.” Mary softly pushed him away but he pulled her into a hug, “Alexander…I can’t…”

“I don’t care if you don’t love me right now…but you have to know I like you…” Alexander kissed her cheek, “I’ll leave you alone…for now…”

“BUMBLING DUNCE!” Mary pushed him away, “This is a moment of separation, and I’ll speak to you when it’s time for Christmas break.” She let out a long sigh, “Now I’m going to have a bunch of people question me about you, thanks a lot.”

Alexander blushed, “Oh, I’m…sorry.” He leaned down and kissed her on the lips, “I guess I’ll be taking my leave, until we see each other again.” He was about to walk out the door and then he stopped, “Wait, why Christmas break? Why can’t it be Thanksgiving break?”

“Because Thanksgiving break is too soon, doesn’t give you enough time to want me enough.” Mary stuck her tongue out at him and stepped out of her door and locking it, “Plus, you know you are willing enough to wait for me…right?”

Alexander nodded, “Of course.” He walked out of the school and Mary walked back to her AP Chemistry class.

Andrew glared at her, “I didn’t know you knew my brother!”

“I don’t, we’ve only met because of my grandparents. They died a while back and they were friends of your dad.” Mary looked up at Mr. Huntington and apologized for the inconvenience of Alexander and he continued his lecture.

Ashley tapped Mary’s shoulder, “Since you know Alexander…you should hook me up with him!”

“When birds decide to kill you, is when I’ll consider trying to hook you up with Mr. Snob.” Mary glared at her and smiled at Andrew, “Your brother’s an ass hole, you know that?”

Andrew nodded and he was so happy that Mary hadn’t fallen for him like all of the other girls. He was glad that this was a girl Alexander couldn’t get no matter what because he wanted her.

“It’s a day until it’s about to be Thanksgiving break and I’m not spending it with my family, how about you guys?” Mickey stated as he bounced up and down on his bed, “You guys want to do something?”

Mary paused the videogame she was playing with Keith, “How about we all go camping?”

“Can’t, I absolutely hate the fact of getting dirty.” Brandon looked around at everyone else because they were staring at him at him funny, “What? Maybe I just don’t want to get dirty.”

Mary sighed and threw the controller across the room, “Damn it! I don’t have anyone to go to for Thanksgiving so we better think of something!” `

“We could go to my family’s house for Thanksgiving…” Andrew mumbled, “Unless you guys don’t want to?”

“Will it be in Hawaii?” Keith asked as he sat next to Mary.

“Yes, my father has a ridiculous mansion there with his…” Andrew took a long pause before he said, “my step-mother.”

“Pack your bags guys, because we’re going on a trip to Hawaii on my father’s private jet!” Brandon hopped up and flipped open his cell phone, “I have to call first though.”

“What time are we planning to leave?” Mary inquisitively asked.

“Right after school, so you guy better be in my Escalade with your bags because I’m only waiting ten minutes!” Mickey yelled loudly.

Ashley played with Andrew’s hair and he angrily slapped her hand away, “So Andrew…a couple of my friends are staying at my mansion in Florida for Thanksgiving break. I was wondering if you and your friends…” She looked over at Mary, “Guy friends…would like to come and stay for the break?”

“Sorry, I have to be with my family on Thanksgiving break…and Mary is one of my best friends too. So I suggest you stop treating her like she’s not there.” Andrew spat, “I’m taking all of my best friends with me too. Including Mary.”

Mary jumped up and down in the limo and looked around at the beautiful mansion; it looked like a beautiful brick, “That’s…wow.” She was astonished by the size of his dad’s mansion, she was so astonished that she tumbled out of the limo with her things.

“It’s not that wow, I think it’s pretty average.” Brandon said as butlers began to take their things, “Mines bigger.”

“Guys, don’t go onto who has the bigger house okay, because we all know it’s me!” Mickey pointed to himself and put on a cocky grin.

Keith shook his head and looked around the house, “It’s just a mansion, so stop shitting yourself over it.”

They followed the butlers up the stairs and each one of the butlers gave them a room on the same floor, it seemed that Andrew’s father’s house had about thirty rooms and about ten of them were on the same floor.

“Yay Mary! We’re right by each other!” Andrew yelled as he ran into her room with all the boys trailing behind him.

“Well I’m on the left of her too! This means I’m right beside her also.” Brandon yelled at Andrew, “You’re so annoying sometimes Andy.”

“Well both of you should just get over it, Mary’s got balls.” Keith said, “She’s one of the guys, so you better stop hitting on her.”

“I don’t understand why you two are doing this…” Brandon mumbled to himself, “We promised that we’d never…you know…with friends.”

Andrew laughed, “I’m just messing with Mary, you know that right? I don’t like her like that…you know it.”

Brandon assured everyone, “Andrew and I mess around like that, don’t freak out.”

A white haired butler walked in, “Dinner is served.” He turned around and walked out of the door.

Mary walked behind everyone and stared at the scary portraits around the mansion and Andrew opened the dining room door for her. She looked down at the long white table filled with delicious looking food, “Wow…this is freaking…amazing…”

Everyone wafted in the food happily and seated themselves at the table, Mary sat to the left of Alexander and the rest of them sat vertically from them. “I’m so hungry…” Mickey said as he looked at the food with hungry eyes, “Are we going to wait for your parents…?”

“My father should be down shortly.” Andrew said as he looked around, “He tends to be fashionably late a lot.”

The doors opened and showed a formidably handsome man with a full head of brown hair, “Hello everyone! Thank you for coming to my house…mi casa es su casa!” He said with a big smile, “I’d like everyone to meet my wife, Annabel Hamilton.” A big breasted blonde strutted in and flashed her white smile at everyone.

“Hello kids, it’s nice to finally see all of Andrew’s friends…and a girl?” Annabel said with a hint of jealousy in her voice, “I didn’t know guys had friends that were girls and brought them to mansions to play…” She sat down on the left side of Andrew and Mr. Hamilton sat at front of the table; probably to show everyone that he was the superior one in the dining room.

“Dig in! Don’t be discouraged to eat your hearts out!” Mr. Hamilton grabbed a turkey leg and chewed on it happily; there was sauce all around his mouth and he continued to grab food and shove it into his mouth.

Mary was surprised that Mr. Hamilton was far different from Alexander, Alexander was so uptight and…mean. Mary grabbed a drumstick and picked at it happily; she looked around at everyone and realized they were all eating as messy as Mr. Hamilton. She had never seen any of the guys act so messy before, especially Brandon!

The doors opened again and it showed an alacrity Alexander walking in and buttoning his suit jacket. “I’m sorry I’m late father.” His father stood up and engulfed him in for a big hug, “I can’t…breathe…”

“Alexander! Honey, I heard you were married…to whom?” Annabelle said as she picked at a salad.

Alexander looked up at Mary and stuttered, “She’ll…be…introduced…one day…” He murmured as he seated himself next to Mary, “She’s really pretty though and a little feisty.” He laughed and began to pick at the turkey, “Who’s all coming to Thanksgiving dinner in three days?”

“Everyone in the family, of course.” Mr. Hamilton chuckled and drank all of his wine and a servant came over and refilled it, “I’m surprised you’re even here and without your wife!”

Mary started to become very nervous and dropped her fork, “Excuse me, I need…” She said as she got up, she tried to think of something very quick, “to make a run.” She scurried quickly out of the dining room and ran up the stairs to her room.

What was she supposed to think about them talking about her right in front of her face; yet they didn’t even know…she was surprised because Mr. Hamilton was the one that forced Alexander to marry her. What was she supposed to think about the whole ordeal with them?

Andrew watched her run out of the dining room, “Excuse me, I need to make sure she’s alright.” He ran up the stairs and knocked on her door, “Mary, are you alright?”

Mary opened the door and looked sadly at Andrew, “I’m fine…I’m just not feeling very well today…I’m going to sleep…” She shut the door hunched down; what was she doing to herself?

Mary lay in her bed and tossed in turn around for a little bit before she finally fell asleep, “Mary…” She felt her body shake a little bit before she looked up at a blonde haired man, “Wake up…”

She sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes, “What is it Xander?” She looked over at the clock, “It’s two in the morning…and you decide you want to wake me up?”

Alexander flipped his wet hair, “I can’t stop…this aching feeling…in my chest…” He grabbed his chest and looked up sadly at Mary, “I really wanted to tell them that you were my wife…but you know how we’ve kept this secret from my family…”

Mary nodded, “So you’re scared and you want to sleep with me? Okay…then go ahead.” Mary fell back down on her bed and pulled up the silky white covers and red and gold blanket, “Good night.”

“No Mary, that’s not what I want…if they see me sleeping with you…I’m screwed and everyone is going to think I’m unfaithful.” Alexander mumbled as he slipped under the sheets, “Good thing I locked the door…”

Mary licked her lips and fell back to sleep as Alexander wrapped his arms around her and fell asleep.

Mary smacked his face at six in the morning, “Get up, before people suspect something…”

Alexander groaned and got up, “Fine…” He stumbled out of her room and into his and went to the bathroom to clean up. He smiled in the mirror, “I got to sleep with Mary…”

He looked sadly at himself, was he just trying to convince himself that he loved her? Was he just trying to convince himself that maybe…just maybe if he put himself out enough then she’d love him enough? Was it the fact that he was forced into this marriage and he was desperate to make it work between them?

Who was he kidding? He didn’t love her…maybe he was fairly attracted to her, just to the point where he cared enough for her to call her his friend. Well...girlfriend…she was a cute little girl…

Mary looked in the mirror and realized how much she had changed when she was around these energetic guys. What she didn’t understand was the feeling that Alexander was hiding something from her…but there were so many things she was hiding from him.

Alexander was obviously jerking her chain because she knew that there was no way a guy like him would ever want to fall in love with a girl like her. It’d never happen…not in her lifetime at least.

She walked out of the shower with a white towel around her torso, “I wonder…what Mr. Snob is thinking about right now…” She stepped out of her bathroom and with her extra towel she started to dry her hair.

“I like the sight I’m seeing…” A voice from behind her said, “I never knew there were pretty girls in our family like this…”

She turned around quickly and saw a tall man that looked around eighteen or so, “Excuse me, but what are you doing in my room?”

She looked up at his bright green playful eyes that danced in the light, he flipped his black hair and grinned at her, “I was just looking for Andrew or Alexander…seems I found something so much…better.”

He filled the space between them and looked down at her wet figure, “It seems you found the wrong room, please leave.” She said as she looked up at his green eyes, “I don’t appreciate someone barging into my room…uninvited.”

The man chuckled and looked down at her platinum cross and the ring that hung from it, “Seems you’re a little religious…but what’s this ring doing on it?” He was about to reach for it but she slapped his hand away, “Feisty…I like women with a little oomph.”

She opened the door for him, “Please leave before I kick your ass.”

“Does that mean I can stay?” The man said as he tried to shut the door, but Mary held on tight, “I like this…would you honor me in telling me your name?”

Mary let out a high pitched shriek that caused all of her friends to rush to her door and look at her in shock, “Mary what’s the matter, what happened?” Andrew looked down and saw what she was wearing and blushed.

“Are you okay?” Alexander said as he ran up to her and noticed that she was standing next to someone, “Adrian…what are you doing?”

“Damn…it seems as though everyone in your family has an A to start off with…I swear…” Mary walked away, “He was harassing me and then randomly showed up in my room…I swear if I didn’t know better…he was trying to get with me.” She grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom; quickly changing into a jeans and t-shirt. She walked out and noticed that everyone had situated themselves in her room.

“Since you’re changed…maybe you should get to know my cousin…Adrian.” Andrew mumbled; glaring over at him, “Be careful though…he’s a player.” He whispered quietly in her ear.

Mary looked at him with hateful eyes, “What’s up? Names Mary Harwich, it’s nice to meet you.” She walked over to him and walked away, “What were you doing in my room…and tell the truth this time you pervert.”

Alexander observed her actions with great interest, he’d never seen her act this way before, “I told you the truth the first time, I just wandered into your room. Then I noticed there was a nice pair of red undergarments lying on the bed…that’s when I got a little curious.” Adrian leaned back in the chair, “Then I noticed you walking out of the bathroom…and I got…extra curious.”

Andrew couldn’t help but feel a little angry and resentment towards Adrian, “You shouldn’t have been in her room in the first place!”

Mary glared over at him, “I can handle this myself.” She walked up to Adrian and looked down at his grin, “Don’t smile at me you disgusting pervert.” She stepped on his crotch with her stiletto heels and crunched it around a little bit.

He held onto her leg with anguish, “You…bitch…stop!” All of the guys clutched onto their “area” with fear and watched Mary leave her foot on his. “Stop…you…little…slut…”

Chapter Fifteen

Mary lowered her foot and glared at him, “Don’t you ever get cocky…and think you can have this.” She walked away from him and looked at the frightened boys, “What? He deserved it.”

Alexander couldn’t believe what he was seeing…Mary was becoming strangely violent, “Miss Harwich, are you sure you’re alright? You just stepped on my cousin’s family jewels and he’s still clutching onto them…”

Mary turned around and looked at Adrian, “Think twice before you decide to…invade.” She walked out of the room with a smooth and confident walk as all of the other guys chased after her.

“When have you become so violent…?” Keith said softly, “I’m scared…”

She had settled herself in Andrew’s room and flipped on the flat screen TV, “Sorry, I just don’t like peeping Toms.”

They ran around the property until the sun fell upon the hundreds of acres, they fell around Mary’s room with the best of the best Whisky and Vodka. “You know…I hate your brother Alexander?” Mary slurred as she took another shot of Vodka, “He gets right down to my bone…and…” She paused and looked up at the ceiling to think of words to say badly about him, “I want to kill him!”

Andrew laughed and took another shot with her, “Me too honey, me too.” Andrew was never much of a drinker and he just watched all of his friends drink until they passed out on Mary’s floor, “I’m surprised that you would even talk about him.”

“He…pisses me off!” She yelled with an incomprehensible word, “I hates him…he’s too pretty…and perfect.” She took another shot and looked over at Andrew, “But you’re nice…and kind…I like you…”

She slapped his face softly and gave him a crooked smile, “I like you too Mary…more than you think.” Andrew looked at her sadly and wished that she wasn’t intoxicated when she was saying all these things to him.

“It’s okay…you like me…I sort of like you…” Mary stumbled off the bed and drank another shot of Vodka, “I need…to monkey…” She mumbled as she stumbled out of her room and tripped into Alexander’s room.

Alexander looked up from his laptop and gave a curious look at Mary, “What are you doing?”

Mary locked the door and clumsily walked over to Alexander, “I’m here to give you what you want…naughty boy…” She gave a chuckle and started to take off her shirt; revealing her red bra, “You know you don’t want this…but I’ll give it to you anyways…”

Alexander looked up at her in shock, “I’m…I’ve…” He stared at her with a blank face, “I don’t know what to say…besides the fact that you’re drunk…” He got out of his bed and helped her stand with balance, “Go back to your room and go to sleep…or throw up…one of those.”

“No…I don’t…” Mary took off her pants but while she was doing it she fell onto Alexander and he caught her, “I want…to have meaning…in my life…”

She began to unhook her bra but Alexander stopped her, “Mary don’t do something you’ll regret…” He leaned down and kissed her softly, “I care enough about you to know that I don’t want you to do this…”

“No!” Mary whined and pushed him away, “I’ll do this for you, so that you’ll accept me…” She started to twirl around in circles but Alexander stopped her, “Why do you keep on stopping me? You thought it was okay the first time?”

She fell onto the bed and curled up in the sheets, “The first time…I…I’m sorry.” Alexander stumbled to say the words; he’d never actually apologized to someone before. Mary had already fallen asleep in his bed and was breathing gently, “I guess that doesn’t matter…I never thought that my heart would ever ache for something that I never…really wanted?” He thought about what he’d just said and paused, “I mean…I want you…I just…”

He groaned in frustration and pulled himself beside her, “I like you, and I really do. I just don’t understand why I can’t say it to your face...that I don’t actually object this whole arranged marriage thing. I actually can’t understand what I’m feeling when I’m…around you…” Alexander couldn’t think of any more words held her close to him, “I don’t know what to say…” He clutched onto her tightly and fell asleep.

Mary felt an array of sharp pains pierce through her skull as she opened her eyes, “What the…” Alexander’s eyes were still closed as she looked down at herself in fear of what she might have done when she was drunk.

“You didn’t do anything…” Alexander groaned at he turned around and looked at the time, “It’s ten in the morning!”

Mary shot up and clutched onto her head, “Everyone’s bound to be freaking awake…” She groaned and rolled off the bed. She searched around for her clothes and stumbled to put them back on with haste.

Alexander watched her fall onto the floor and how she didn’t even bother to get up, “If I’m caught with you in here…we’re going to have a lot of explaining to do…”

Mary groaned and opened the door slowly; seeing no one she quickly ran into her room and noticed everyone was still passed out on the floor. She looked at Andrew and noticed he was sleeping snug in her bed and she joined him, it’d look less suspicious if she woke up with Andrew snuggled close to her right?

She slipped under the covers and wrapped his arm around her; she pressed her head against his bare chest and in took his scent. She smiled and fell back to sleep; unexpectedly.

Andrew woke up and looked down at the pile of…brown hair on his right arm? He brushed the hair out of her face and realized Mary was sound asleep…and resting by him! When he looked at the clock he noticed that it was only eleven in the morning...he knew he wanted to keep this memory in his mind forever.

Brandon got up and grabbed his head, “Fucking…shit! My head is killing me!” He yelled loudly, causing everyone to groan and open their eyes.

The doors busted open and revealed Mr. Hamilton, “My boys, why are you still sleeping?” The voice bellowed into the room, Mary sat up quickly and rubbed her eyes, “You guys were all sleeping in the same room?”

“I pass out here…” Keith mumbled as he popped a couple of ibuprofen. “I’m sorry…I think I…” Keith ran to the bathroom and leaned over the toilet as he vomited profusely. “Sick…I’m never going to drink again…”

Andrew sat up and looked down at everyone, “You say that now…you say that now…”

Mr. Hamilton smiled at Andrew, “Seems…you two are really close…” He winked at Andrew and Mary, “I didn’t know you were that close…”

Mary looked at Mr. Hamilton with a frightened face, “No…no…Mr. Hamilton…Andrew and I are just friends!”

Andrew looked over at Mary and nodded, “That’s right father; Mary and I are just friends.”

Mr. Hamilton sat at the edge of the bed and grinned at the both of them, “If that’s what you think…but what I’m seeing right now…is very different!” He grabbed Mary’s hand and patted it, “I think you’re a very pretty young girl; you’ll be perfect for my boy here.”

Mary chuckled lightly, and gave Andrew a nervous look, “I…I’m sorry…Andrew and I are just friends.”

“Yeah, they’re just friends but Mary is my best friend.” Brandon winked at her and walked to his room.

Mickey looked at all of them groggily before he departed with Brandon, “I’m going back to sleep…”

“If that’s what you say…but I’ll make sure you two have lots of fun together…” Mr. Hamilton winked and stood up, “You two would make such a cute couple…” He practically skipped out of there singing some love song.

Mary looked at Andrew and chuckled nervously, “I…I don’t know what to say…your father’s very interesting?”

He slid out of bed and scratched his head, “Yeah, I’m sorry about him…he’s a little weird.” Andrew ran out of the room with a flushed red face, Mary looked so cute with bed hair.

Keith wiped his mouth and walked out of her bathroom, “You might not want to go in there…” He stumbled out of the room and collapsed on his bed.

Mary cleaned herself up and walked out onto the porch; she dialed Arron’s number and waited for him to pick up, “Hey Mary! What are you up to?”

“I just wanted to talk to you…I honestly don’t know why I’m being so dumb…my feelings are not my feelings…” Mary sighed, “Where are you at?”

“I’m actually in Hawaii!” Arron laughed as a girl swayed her body all over him, “I’m on the phone miss, and could you please back off.” He laughed and turned back over to Mary, “Where are you?”

“If you tell me where you are…then I’ll find you.” Mary grabbed her purse, “I don’t want to be around here anymore.”

“I’m at the beach…not sure where really…I’m staying at this strange hotel with a shit load of palm trees everywhere…it’s actually a pretty nice place.” Arron looked around the hotel, “It’s one of those nice…hotels in Hawaii…”

“I think I know where you’re at. I’ll be there in a little bit, don’t you dare move.” Mary hung up on him and walked into Alexander’s room. She noticed that he was still working on his laptop, “I swear it’s like you’re always working, you’re on break!”

Alexander took off his glasses and looked at her, “So I’m guessing you don’t remember a thing from last night?”

Mary shook her head and jumped on his bed, “Can I ask a favor…from you?”

Alexander looked at her with a bit of interest, “If the favor is to borrow my car…no.”

Mary looked at him sadly, “I’m going to go find Arron…please….” She dropped to her knees, “Please, please, please.”

Alexander threw the car keys at her, “You crash it…and I’m giving you a text book of Calculus and you’re doing all of the problems in it.”

Mary looked down at the keys happily and hugged Alexander, “Thank you; you’re officially my favorite person.”

She ran out of the mansion and looked at his red Ferrari, “What are you doing?”

She turned around and looked at Adrian, “I’m…uh…stealing Alexander’s red Ferrari.” She grinned and hopped into the driver’s seat, “So…bye!” She peeled out of the mansion and sped to the hotel, she couldn’t wait to see Arron again.

She ran into the hotel and looked around for any sign of Arron; she walked up to the clerk’s desk and felt arms wrap around her, “I missed you…”

Mary turned around and returned his hug, “I missed you too Arron!” She clung onto his arm, “Want to come back to the mansion and meet my friends?”

“If they are all girls…” Arron grinned and flipped his hair, his boyish smile looked so inviting, “And if they’re not then that’s not alright at all.”

“Whatever…” Mary mumbled, “You know you want to come because…I took the Ferrari!”

Arron grabbed her arm and ran out of the door excitedly and looked at the red beauty, “I think I’m in love with your husband…if you don’t want him I’ll take him.”

Mary sped off back to the mansion, “None of my friends know I’m married…so please keep it a secret…I’m actually only staying for Thanksgiving week…so…”

Arron grinned at her, “I’ve been here for about a month now…I don’t know when I’m planning to leave…” He looked at himself, “I caught some nice rays though…”

“Whatever…” Mary pulled up to the mansion and looked at it happily, “Remember what I said…don’t say anything about Alexander Hamilton…this is his parent’s house.”

“Nice house…what the hell do they do to make so much money…?” Arron shut the car door and looked up at the amazing mansion, “I wish I lived like this…”

“Whatever, you lived in a way nicer house than I did, so don’t even complain okay?” Mary knocked on the house and a butler opened up, “Plus, you’d never expect Mr. Hamilton would be so super cool.”

She grabbed Arron’s hand and ran up the stairs, “So, I’m guessing I have to see…everyone…that’s your friend?”

Mary nodded and banged on Andrew’s door, “Police, open up!”

Andrew opened the door with a smile and then noticed that she was holding hands with another guy, “Hey…Mary…who’s this?”

“This is my best friend of…like eight years, Arron…I just picked up him from his hotel because I haven’t seen him since school started.” Mary let go of his hand and he shook hands with Andrew.

“Hey, I’ve heard a lot about you, Andrew right?”

Andrew nodded, “Yeah, but I’ve never heard about you…”

“Okay…I guess that’s a nice introduction…let’s go see baka…” She grinned and shut Andrew’s door, “Andrew’s a little…protective.”

She swung Alexander’s door open and shoved Arron in; she looked in the hallway and locked the doors, “Xander, Arron, Arron, and Xander.” She mumbled as Arron gave Alexander a huge hug.

“Been a while man!” They patted each other’s back and laughed, “How have you been?”

“I’ve been great, how have you been?” Alexander grinned and shook his hand, “I’ve missed you man.”

They talked for hours until there was a knock on the door, Mary opened it slowly and saw Andrew at the door, “Oh, hey…I was looking for Alex?”

Mary smiled and opened the door fully to reveal Alexander and Arron wrestling on the ground, “That’s only if you want to get involved with them…I have a bet that Arron’s going to win. I have fifty dollars on him.”

Andrew watched in surprise as Alexander pinned Arron to the ground; Arron quickly spun him around and pinned him, “I’ve never seen my brother act this way before…” Andrew felt a hint of jealous for Arron, “He’s never even acted like that towards me…”

Arron laughed and Alexander said mercy, “Arron does that to Xander.” Mary crossed her arms and watched them laugh and help each other up, “Arron does that to a lot of people.”

Alexander looked over at Andrew, “That’s my little brother, Andrew.”

“Yeah, I met him before I came into your room.” Arron smiled and grabbed a bottle of water, “He looks a lot like you, you know? Except for the brown hair…and the fact that he looks more of a man than you do…”

Andrew grinned at that, “Thanks, I know I look good…and I know I look a lot better than my girlie older brother over there.”

Mary sighed and watched all of her other friends rush in to play, “Hey, I heard that everyone was in here…” Brandon looked at Arron, “Who’s that?”

Mary ran over to Arron and held onto his hand, “This is my best friend Arron Lee. He was just horsing around with Xander over there.”

“Xander?” Mickey questioned, “Who’s that?”

“You know, Alexander, Xander.” Mary said as she smiled at everyone.

“You have a nickname for him?” Keith said surprisingly.

“Yeah, it’s better than calling him Snob?” Mary grinned widely, “Or Rich Kid…”

Andrew had the biggest epiphany, on Mary’s wall there was that sign that she got. No way could it have been from…Alexander? He shook his mind of those thoughts and figured that it must have just been a coincidence, “So, do you guys want to do?”

Mary looked at Alexander and held out her hand; he groaned and gave her a fifty, “You guys could wrestle and see who wins?”

“I don’t want to do that because everyone would know I’d win.” Mickey began flexing his arms and grinning like mad, “How about Mary and I wrestle…with our shirts off?”

Mary rolled her eyes, “For a thousand bucks I bet I’d win.”

“You talk a lot of trash Mary, how about you show us how good you are?” Andrew smirked, “You and I can wrestle.”

Chapter Sixteen

“No, I don’t want to wrestle with you…” Mary mumbled and looked at Arron for help, “I don’t want to wrestle with Andrew.” She nudged Arron like crazy.

“Mary likes girls, if you guys don’t know.” Arron said casually, “She’d rather wrestle with a girl who has bigger breasts; man Pecs sort of scare her.”

Andrew grabbed his chest and clutched onto his heart, “You…you like women?”

Mary gave a nervous chuckle, “Ye—ayah.” She couldn’t believe Arron was lying about something like that; Alexander was close to freaking out too. How long could they withhold this secret from their family and friends?

All of the guys stood there and stared at her with wide eyes, “How come you never said anything?” Mickey yelled, “I would have…you know stopped…liking you!”

Brandon looked at the ground sadly, how could she be a lesbian? She showed signs…well maybe it was pretty obvious. She did hang out with guys only and he’d never seen her hang around a girl before…but that definitely meant that she wasn’t lesbian? “How could you be lesbian…? How…could you…?” He said in an unbelievable voice, “You only hung out with guys…? I’ve never even seen you around a girl before!”

Keith nodded, “Yeah, so there’s definitely not a way you can be…lesbian…? I’m really confused about all my friends now…” He turned and looked at Mickey, “Are you gay?”

“No!” Mickey yelled and pushed Keith away from him, “I swear, if I hear one of my guy friends is gay…I’m going to flip the fuck out.”

Mary couldn’t help but feel frustrated, what the hell was she supposed to do? She couldn’t take the pressure anymore; she couldn’t have everyone thinking something that wasn’t true.

She let out a high pitched screech, “SHUT UP!” Everyone looked at her in surprise, “I’m not a lesbian, and Arron’s just trying to cover for me…I think it’s time I told everyone the truth…”

Alexander gave her a horrified look, “Mary…don’t…” He mouthed and whispered, “It’s not the right time…”

“It’s the best time as it’s ever going to get, if I don’t say it now…everyone’s going to be wondering what we’re talking about.”

“Just tell me already!” Brandon yelled over everyone, “Are you lesbian or not?”

Mary took a deep breath, “I just want everyone to know…please don’t be mad at me.” She took another deep breath, “My name isn’t really Mary Harwich…it is Mary Hamilton.”

Andrew laughed, “That doesn’t make any sense, you’re not on any of our family trees or anything…”

Mary rose up both of her hands, “Let me explain, please don’t interrupt.” She took another deep breath, “Alexander…is my husband.”

Andrew laughed, “Is this some kind of sick joke…Mary? Alexander would never…you’re only sixteen!”

She pulled off her necklace and showed Andrew the ring, “It was an arranged marriage no one really knew about…other than your father and my deceased grandparents.” Mary bit her lip and looked at everyone’s reactions. Andrew’s face looked as though all color had left them, along with all the other guys.

“Well…I guess you should probably take me back to the hotel now, huh Mary?” He nudged her as he looked at all of the guy’s sad faces, “Now?”

Alexander looked at Arron, “I’ll take you…” He dug the car keys out of her messenger bag and walked out of the room with a hustle.

Mary stared at everyone with anxious eyes, to see what they were going to say, “So…you’re really married to Andrew’s older brother?” Brandon asked sadly, “So there’s no chance for anyone else?”

Mary nodded and looked at Andrew, “Are you guys alright?”

Andrew looked up at Mary and ran out of the room, “To tell you the truth…Andrew was the one that had the biggest crush on you…” Keith said as he watched Andrew run out of the room, “I’ll see how he’s doing.” Keith ran after him and shut Alexander’s bedroom door.

Mickey bit his lip, “Brandon only messed with Andrew’s head…you see…he really did like you. Andrew said that he even thought he loved you.”

Brandon nodded, “This talk we had…is probably…he’s not going to want to see you for a while.” Brandon pulled her in for a hug, “Just let him think about it for a while…”

Mary nodded and hugged Brandon back, “I always thought he was just kidding…about his feelings for me…you know? What am I supposed to think now…this is going to change our friendship…”

Mickey shrugged, “I don’t think so, and he’ll get over it. Meanwhile…how long have you and his bro been married?”

“Six…seven months?” Mary thought, “Not really sure…but it was like a few days after my birthday.”

“Oh, have you guys…” Mickey started doing a motion with his hand, “You know…”

“I don’t want to talk about it, I absolutely despise Xander.” Mary rolled her eyes, “How would you feel like if you were set up with someone you’ve never met before? Or even heard about?” Mary said sadly, “He’s not bad or anything…but sometimes his arrogance gets to me. Or…the fact that he thinks just because I’m his wife. I’m no ones bitch okay?”

“I understand what you’re trying to say, but if I was hooked up with a hot chick by my parents…I’d be pretty okay with it. But if the chick was butt ugly and she was nice…that’d be okay too.” Brandon brushed his invisible beard, “I’m just saying…it’s not that bad. Alexander’s loaded; he’ll give you whatever you want. I know you think that it’s bad, but I’m telling you it’s not bad at all.”

Mickey nodded, “I mean…Alexander’s a pretty cool man, you should be happy that he’s not a total jerk that pushes you around. Don’t think about it so badly, he’s actually very nice.”

Mary nodded; maybe she was thinking that it was so bad in the first place…maybe it wasn’t really that bad at all? “You’re right…I’ve been a bitch about the whole situation…” She stood up and walked out the door, “I just need to think right now…I’ll see you later.”

She sat out on the balcony of her room and stared at the falling sun, her friends were right. She was looking at Alexander like he was some curse when he was actually a saint. She should just act like everything was normal; she should just accept what was happening.

She hated to admit that maybe after the months they were together, that she was fairly attracted to that pretty boy Alexander Hamilton. She knew that she had to think about this more positively…how come it took someone to tell her that? Was she actually so hardheaded to think that…it was worse than it already was?

“Maybe…I can think positive about this…situation.” Mary mumbled as she continued to type in her laptop, “I know I can make things…right.”

She shut her laptop and looked up at the starry night, “It’s pretty huh?” She turned around quickly and saw Adrian staring at her, “Not as pretty as you though.”

“I’m not pretty, and I thought you got the memo the first time…that I didn’t like you.” Mary turned around and looked up at the stars once more, “Please leave me alone…”

Adrian sat on the ledge of the balcony and grinned at her, “There was this one time…I ran into this girl, you know?”

Mary glared up at him, “Why are you even talking to me?”

“I’m telling you a story…so listen, okay?” Adrian looked back up at the stars, “She was really pretty and crying…she was around ten and she was crying. I walked up to her and gave her the Popsicle I had just bought…she stopped crying and I asked her why she was crying.” Adrian sighed and looked down at her, “She said that her mother was going to ship her off to some rich guy and let her get raped by him.” Adrian grinned, “She said she didn’t even know what rape meant and I didn’t want to tell her.”

“Okay…that story sounds interesting…” Mary mumbled and rolled her eyes, “go ahead and tell it…but I can’t guarantee that I’ll listen.”

“Well, she said that this man was someone named Alexander Hamilton. She said that her mother was…yelling at her because she snuck off the school play grounds. She said her mom was going to give her away to him when she turns sixteen.” Adrian looked down at Mary’s shocked face, “She said her name was Mary Harwich, but I guess I should be calling you Mary Hamilton shouldn’t I?”

“How did you…know?” Mary trembled, “You weren’t even in the room when I was telling everyone…”

“I told you, I met this girl…” Adrian smiled, “She hung out with me a while before…she moved.”

Mary started to think back at a black haired boy with bright green eyes, “You were fourteen weren’t you Adrian Hamlin?”

Adrian chuckled, “When I heard Andrew was bringing his friend Mary…I had a feeling it was you. That’s the whole reason why I was in your room and the…about the incident…sorry.”

Mary sighed, “It’s okay…although I don’t remember that conversation we had…at all?” She looked at him sadly, “But then again…I don’t remember much, do I?”

Adrian chuckled, “Yeah, I know…but ever since…have you told him?”

“No, I haven’t…” Mary chuckled, “I’ll tell him…when…the time is right…” She looked at him with tears in her eyes, “My parents don’t even know,” she bit her lip, “…my best friend Arron doesn’t even know…I don’t know how I’m going to tell everyone…”

“How long…?” Adrian asked sadly as he jumped off the ledge.

“Remember what I told you? I don’t want to talk about it…” Adrian pulled her in for a hug, “I don’t even think about it any more…” Mary said angrily with welled up tears in her eyes, “It’s my fault…”

She sniffled and held onto Adrian, “It’s alright Mary…if you told Alexander…he can help you.”

She held onto Adrian and shook as she cried, “He doesn’t have to know…”

Alexander stared as Adrian held onto Mary, “Is there something I should know that’s happening between you two?”

Mary looked up at Alexander and wiped her eyes quickly, “No, nothing at all.”

“May I ask what you two were talking about?” Alexander said with crossed arms; his face looked stern and furious.

Mary took another deep breath, “I think I’ve done enough talking for today…let’s go to sleep now?” She grabbed Alexander’s arm and dragged him slowly into his room.

“Tell me what you two were talking about?” Alexander said as he took off his shirt and pants; leaving him in his baby blue boxers.

“I’m sleepy…I’ll tell you tomorrow.” Mary slung the blanket over her head and shut her eyes forcefully.

Alexander took a deep breath and slid beside her, “You’re going to have to tell me some time…” He murmured as he fell asleep.

Mary looked up at the beautifully painted ceiling and started to think about what she’d tell Alexander in the near future…

Mary sat at the Thanksgiving table with trembling hands under the table; she looked at all of the people who were just giving her quick glances. She felt as though she was unwanted amongst the rich family group, everyone was dressed in their best rags and so was she. Although she didn’t look like she was in the best rags she had.

“Don’t worry about how they’re looking at you…” Alexander said as he clutched onto her hand, “At least you put on your ring and I can announce it…”

Mary nodded and looked down at the huge rock, “I’m…alright…don’t worry about me, worry about yourself.”

Alexander gave her panicky look, “Mary…”

“I’m sorry.” Mary sighed; she realized she shouldn’t be too mean to him, “I’m just a little jumpy right now.”

She looked across the table at Adrian who was laughing with his older cousins and…it made Mary slightly depressed because she really only had her friends to talk to but Andrew wouldn’t even look at her.

Everyone held hands with each other and began to give thanks, most of them were about the money they were making…typical rich people. When it came around to Alexander he grinned, “I want to give thanks to God and my father, for setting me up with the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I want to thank him for letting me get to know that there were nice people like her out in the world.”

Mary felt her left hand gripped tightly and she looked over at Mickey’s twitching face, “I want to thank…God…for…my friends. I want to thank Alexander for speaking so highly of me.” Mary stuttered.

They all ate whole heartedly, except for Mary, she picked at her food, “Are you alright Mary?” Alexander asked with sauce all over his face.

“I’m fine…I just think I need to…be excused.” Mary pushed out her chair and stood up, “Excuse me.” She smiled and pushed in her chair when she felt something strange happen.

Alexander looked up at her and noticed that she was twitching and foaming out of her mouth, “She’s have a seizure! Call the ambulance!” He jumped out of his chair and caught her before she fell onto the ground.

Arron looked down at her, “She’s aspirating…” He panicked, “You need to call the ambulance now!”
